Well now here's something I would have loved to have witnessed for myself. According to various sources, actor Johnny Depp joined Willie Nelson and family on stage at the Austin Rodeo on Sunday where they performed songs such as Good Hearted Woman and On The Road Again. Despite Depp's high-profile career and very recognizable face, it seems that most people in the audience were unaware that they were watching Captain Jack Sparrow himself jamming on the guitar. Can you imagine? Check out some great pictures of the performance over on Still is Still Moving. Read more

Blackfish strikes again! So have you watched the incredible documentary Blackfish yet? If you haven't, what are you waiting for? While many documentaries will touch your feelers while you're watching them, Blackfish seems to have brought about an actual change in how people view killer whales in captivity, and that includes celebrities. Barenaked Ladies recently canceled a performance at SeaWorld due to their feelings after watching the documentary, and now Willie Nelson has done the same. Willie was scheduled to perform at one of SeaWorld's Bands, Brew & Bbq events in Florida early next year, but after a Change.org petition... Read more

Yikes! A few of Willie Nelson's band members are resting today after their tour bus hit a highway overpass pillar in heavy rains Saturday morning, November 23, in East Texas. Luckily, Nelson was on a different bus at the time. From Willie's website: Update 1: Willie Nelson’s band bus (not Willie’s bus) was in an accident overnight on icy I-30. 3 members of the family were hospitalized. Additional information will be released as we get it. Update 2: The band’s bus (Willie was in his own bus) crashed along I-30 around 3:30 AM when it hit a bridge pillar —... Read more

Willie was also scheduled to appear this weekend in... Read more

It's a heist worthy of a western novel. Or at least a post on my blog. Someone swiped a special toy armadillo from the stage at a recent Willie Nelson concert in New York and the owner would really like it back. Ol' Dillo belongs to Aaron Foye, Willie's monitor engineer, and is apparently a pretty treasured possession. A pretty damn ballsy lady decided on Thursday that she wanted a memento from the show so she walked right up on stage after the concert and took the armadillo. Now Willie's pleading with fans to watch video of the incident and... Read more
