It's always exciting getting something signed by a famous person. You know what's probably even more exciting? Getting to walk in their shoes....literally. 

For the last couple of days Whitney Duncan has been tweeting links to stuff on eBay, Christian Louboutin Heels in particular. I finally followed one of the links that led to a sexy pair of strappy heels that I could never wear in a million years, mainly because they're a size 7, but then there's that whole trying-to-kill-myself-if-I-walk-in-heels thing I've talked about in the past.

Well after looking around I realized that they are Whitney's actual shoes. Whitney, user ID whitdt, has sold all kinds of stuff -- bathing suit from the time she was on Survivor, shoes, a guitar, some music.  

Spring cleaning time it appears.  

Pretty cool if you ask me. It's like going to a garage sale and having Brad Paisley come out to take your money personally. Hello!

Here's a new preview for Survivor: South Pacific.  

Whitney's part is at about the 1:20 mark.  She mentions that she's a bit surprised to find herself in her underwear so quickly.

Whitney Duncan talks Survivor

Well I guess the cat is officially out of the bag.

As I told you yesterday, Whitney Duncan was rumored to be part of the upcoming season of Survivor, but without official word from CBS, it was still kinda up in the air.  

Well CBS now has their website updated with all the info you might want to know about the cast including the above group shot (Whitney's in the back in the red) so I guess it's rumor no more. 

Congrats Whitney.  Hope you win a million.  Survivor: South Pacific will premiere 9/14 on CBS.

Whitney Duncan to become a Survivor

CBS hasn't officially announced the castaways for their upcoming Survivor: South Pacific yet, but the cast list and photos have hit the web with none other than Whitney Duncan gracing the list.  

I haven't watched the show since season 1 when the one woman told the other woman she wouldn't give her a drink of water if she was dying - harsh! - but with Whitney on the show, I may have to start again. 

Survivor's new season starts September 14th on CBS. 

The Footloose soundtrack is coming and it might just be awesome!

The Footloose remake starring Julianne Hough is still apparently coming to theaters October 14th. Personally I've been hoping maybe there'd be a sudden decision to shelve the project, but that's probably because I'm pretty sure the remake's gonna suck. 

I mean the first one was so campy and goofy and fun, how in the world are they ever going to make it better?

Despite my misgivings about the flick, it seems that it's soundtrack is definitely going to be a must-buy. 

Entertainment Weekly just revealed the movie soundtrack details and it's chock full of country stars.

Arrest made in the disappearance of Whitney Duncan's cousin, Holly Bobo

Finally!

Back on April 13th, Holly Bobo, cousin of country singer Whitney Duncan, was kidnapped from her Parsons, Tennessee home at 7:30 in the morning.  Despite her older brother witnessing the abduction by a man wearing camouflage, it seemed that little progress had been made in the case. 

But apparently someone had been doing their job behind the scenes because the Daily Mail is reporting that a fugitive sex offender was questioned by police in Duluth, Minnesota about the case and then was subsequently arrested in connection with Holly's disappearance.   

Victor George Wall, 43, seen above in a 2007 mug shot, was convicted over 20 years ago for child molestation in Washington and reportedly lived near Holly's home at the time of the abduction.  Police had been searching for him so that they could question him about Holly's disappearance, but didn't have any luck until they finally tracked him down at his girlfriend's house in Minnesota.  He was asleep when police entered the home and he was arrested without incident.

Wall is sitting in the St. Louis County Jail where he's awaiting extradition to Tennessee.  

Now let's hope that if this is the right person, he just comes clean and let's this family have a little peace after what's sure to have been four months of hell.  

But what about Stephen?

Oh celebrity romances, they're such fleeting moments of happiness for the most part.

Back in October, Stephen from Love & Theft declared that he and Whitney Duncan were not only dating but in love (interview here).  They did have one problem, though, Whitney apparently still had a thing for her ex. 

Well it appears that the two may have a bigger problem now - like the fact that Whitney's apparently dating"True Blood" star Ryan Kwanten.  The two have apparently been spotted all over Nashville together.

Whitney Tweeted the above picture of Steel Magnolia, Ryan, and herself back in April.

Rule of thumb should be never to profess your love during radio interviews unless you've already been married for several years- it just generally never ends up very well.

Nashville, TN – Warner Bros. Records’ artist, Whitney Duncan, is giving one lucky bidder their own keepsake from this year’s CMA Awards – her dress! Whitney, who wore the purple Versace gown on the red carpet at the November awards show, is auctioning off the gown in support of Country Cares for St. Jude. Whitney was featured in the Tennessean’s CMA Best Dressed list along with Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift and Faith Hill.

The authentic Italian Versace gown has a halter neckline and empire waist. Starting bid for the gown is $250 and bidding is live now until Dec. 19th. The proceeds will be given to Country Cares, a radio fundraising event part of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

“I really admire the hope that St. Jude offers families who are going through such a difficult season in their lives,” Whitney said. “Just because you’re not in the same battle doesn’t mean you can’t help fight the disease with them in any way you can – every little bit counts.”

Whitney Duncan is a singer/songwriter from Scotts Hill, Tenn. She has penned songs for artists such as Lee Ann Womack, LeAnn Rimes and Chrystal Shawanda. Duncan’s self-titled debut album was released in 2007. Her forthcoming album, Right Road Now, includes her Top 20 single, “Skinny Dippin.’”

St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with pediatric cancer.
