Shania Twain and Terri Clark make it onto the prestigious NRA enemies list

The NRA (National Rifle Association) is sort of like PETA in my book -- they have a good cause they fight for for the most part, they just tend to get a little too wacko and out in left field for my comfort.   

Despite country music and guns going together like peanut butter and jelly, Mork & Mindy, or the birds & the bees, there are a few country singers out there who the NRA really doesn't like much. In fact, they like these country stars so little that they've added them to their hate list.

Ouch.  

According to Buzzfeed, the NRA's enemies list came to light last fall and includes over 200 celebrities who have "lent their name and notoriety to anti-gun causes, speaking out for anti-gun legislation and providing a voice for anti-gun organizations." Shania Twain, Sheryl Crow, and Terri Clark all made it onto this prestigious list. Check out the full list after the jump...

Anyone else miss Terri Clark?

Terri Clark performed on Sunday's Canadian Country Music Awards and her performance of Love is a Rose makes me wish she'd forget Canada and come back to American country music.

This is a Terri Clark video but her dog totally stole the show

I sure do love me some Terri Clark.  She's one of the few current country artists out there that my hubby and I can actually agree is awesome. 

Well Terri has a new album coming out on July 26th called "Roots & Wings".  This video was supposed to be a sort of celebration of the making of the CD, shooting promo photos, etc. which is awesome, but I have to say that it was the little guy above that made me want to watch the video over and over and over. 

Check him/her out at about the 27 second mark.  Not sure why he/she was so surprised by the camera, but it sure made me chuckle.

Terri Clark gets some new ink in honor of her mom

Terri Clark's mom Linda passed away in April of last year after a long battle with cancer and to help commemorate her love, Terri recently got a new tattoo. 

Terri recently Tweeted the above picture along with: Thanks to Joe at Queen of Hearts Tattoo in Nashville for completing my memorial ink today and also bringing my Canadian maple leaf back to life.

Now it's hard to tell but I think this is her left forearm.  I Googled and back in May Terri posted a picture of her originally getting the tattoo (without the dates) and the way her arm is laying it looks like it's the left forearm, but since you can't see her hand it's hard to tell.  Check out the red and painful looking original tattoo picture here.

Just found out that Terri Clark has a tattoo so I  figured I better add it to my Nashville Ink section.  

Terri's a proud Canadian and shows it with her maple leaf tattoo fashioned after the one that appears on the Canadian flag.  She reportedly got it back in 2001.

Terri Clark recently took the time to update us on what she has going on in her life and to let us know that she will be in the studio recording a song she wrote for her mom who passed away back in April.

Hi Everyone,

I figured I would go ahead and write my latest update now because when my head hits the pillow at home tomorrow I will be down for the count. The tour has been the hardest I think I have ever worked, and Jeff would probably agree, but we have also come out of this having lit a new “fire” under our asses.

I never realized how important it is to keep things fresh, and this Unplugged and Alone concept brought along with it a whole new set of challenges, and BIG rewards, in a creative and connecting sense. I know I’ve seen quite a few of you on this tour, and can’t tell you all how much I appreciate your comments, support, and big love!

Terri Clark loses beloved mom Linda

My heart goes out to Terri Clark who's mom, Linda, passed away last night after a long battle with cancer.  Terri's website posted this simple message....

Terri’s mother passed away at 8:40pm last night (Sunday).  She is finally at peace and out of pain, our hearts are broken and we will miss her terribly.
