Shania Twain and Terri Clark make it onto the prestigious NRA enemies list

The NRA (National Rifle Association) is sort of like PETA in my book -- they have a good cause they fight for for the most part, they just tend to get a little too wacko and out in left field for my comfort.   

Despite country music and guns going together like peanut butter and jelly, Mork & Mindy, or the birds & the bees, there are a few country singers out there who the NRA really doesn't like much. In fact, they like these country stars so little that they've added them to their hate list.

Ouch.  

According to Buzzfeed, the NRA's enemies list came to light last fall and includes over 200 celebrities who have "lent their name and notoriety to anti-gun causes, speaking out for anti-gun legislation and providing a voice for anti-gun organizations." Shania Twain, Sheryl Crow, and Terri Clark all made it onto this prestigious list. Check out the full list after the jump...

Sheryl Crow gets restraining order against Facebook nut

Celebrity comes with lots of perks including wealth, fame, ability to wreck your car lots of times and never get your driver's license revoked (I'm looking at you Lindsay), but one thing that I would never want to deal with that most celebrities do at one time or another is a stalker. 

One of the newest celebs in court trying to keep a crazed fan away is Sheryl Crow who back in April discovered that there was a delusional fella on Facebook making threats against her. 

Phillip Gordon Sparks, 45, allegedly has been posting things like Sheryl has "stolen money from him," "tried to have him arrested" and "had broken into his house because [she] was looking for his gun." According to 'Entertainment Tonight', he even threatened to shoot her. 

Now Sheryl has gone to court to obtain a temporary restraining order and has a hearing scheduled for August 14 to possibly make it permanent.  

Sheryl recently revealed that she has a benign brain tumor, so this stress can't be helping matters. Hopefully she gets her permanent restraining order and this alleged nut job disappears back into the hole he crawled out of.  

Sheryl Crow's awards flash had a little parental involvement

Okay, well I've already talked about Sheryl Crow's awards show panty flash from last night so it's old news by now; what is new news is Sara Evans chatting with The Frogmen this morning about how she avoided her own wardrobe malfunction and how she almost fell onstage the other day, but the best part of the interview is hearing Sara tell The Frogmen that it was Sheryl's dear ol' pop who texted her to let her know she had had an oops. 

She says, "You heard Sheryl Crow say that she did show her underwear. Yeah, she surely did. When she got up from singing with Kid Rock and they started dancing, her underwear were showing at the bottom of her skirt.  Her dad texted her and told her."

Nice.

Apparently Sheryl Crow had a panty flash at the awards show

Boy, last night's awards show was full of all kinds of excitement, wasn't it? I mean there was the unsettling fact that Justin Bieber won a country music award, Shania nearly breaking her neck, Nicole Kidman's green and brown concoction paired with strappy blue shoes that she for some reason wore, and apparently there was even a crotch shot of sorts. 

Now normally I wouldn't comment on a panty flash by a celebrity because I find it more than a little disturbing that people get so dang excited about it.  I mean toilet paper hanging out of the back of someone's dress at an awards show, now that would be funny, a quick little panty shot, not so much. 

But this is a little different because the panty-flashing offender actually had a good laugh about it.

Last night during Sheryl Crow's duet with Kid Rock, she was wearing a mini-skirt that bordered on criminal. Okay, not really, but it was definitely short. As she and Kid got up to dance, she had an unfortunate moment between sitting and liftoff that gave the viewers a little peek-a-boo.  

Now like I said, normally I wouldn't have even mentioned it except Sheryl came on later to present an award with Sara Evans and joked about the mishap.  

She said, "Ok, I'm just going to address the elephant in the room. People all over America are tweeting that I was wearing a really short skirt when I sang with Kid Rock and that when I got up off the stool, I showed my underwear".

Sara joined in by responding, "Well, at least you were wearing underwear."

True dat, sista, true dat.

Sheryl laughingly added, "I was wearing underwear. Because I am good, clean family entertainment."

Sheryl Crow talks about upcoming country album

 
Did you hear that Sheryl Crow's got a new country album coming out soon?  Well she does and because I love Sheryl Crow I think it'll be pure awesomeness. 

And she's working with Brad Paisley for a little extra country cred.  

She says about her upcoming country album, “I’m working on it right now. I’m doing some work with Brad Paisley. I’ve been doing a lot of writing. Hopefully it’ll be out early next year.”

Although Sheryl is a pop star, she feels she's already got a bit of country in her music, “I already had a pretty strong country influence in my music,” she said recently from Nashville where she lives with her two adopted sons, 4 and 1. “You listen to Strong Enough and If It Makes You Happy and Hard to Make a Stand, there’s a lot of country influence in there already, but there’s just no pedal steel and no fiddle.’’

So anyone else excited to have Sheryl Crow go the country route?  I know I am.
