Ryan Bingham has perhaps the coolest voice ever

Since winning an Oscar, Ryan Bingham has been making the media rounds.  Here he is last night on The Tonight Show.  I don't know if Ryan smokes or not, but he sure makes that gravelly, smoking-induced sound far more appealing than the cancer ads do.

So, did you watch the Golden Globes on Sunday?  Did you happen to see Ryan Bingham accepting his award for Best Original Song for The Weary Kind? 

No?  Well you weren't alone in not seeing Ryan since he actually missed his moment in the spotlight because he had made a beer run.

Ooops.

Ryan won the award for his song he wrote for the Jeff Bridges' movie "Crazy Heart," but unfortunately when the winner was announced Ryan was sitting at the bar having a beer. Cowriter T-Bone Burnett ended up accepting the award all alone.

Ryan tells Daily Variety, "I just got up for a second." 

And a second is all it takes.  Lesson learned I hope.  Never fear, though, Ryan may very well get a second chance at awards show redemption since the song also has some Oscar buzz going.  The nominations for this year's Oscars will take place February 2nd with the awards set to air on March 7th.

Why have I never seen Ryan Bingham?

Why have I never heard of or seen Ryan Bingham?  I mean this guy is very sexy in an old-timey way, very interesting.  Not that I choose my music listening based on looks, but seriously I listened to some of his music on his website and yumm, makes him even more sexy (again, in an old-timey cowboy sort of way).  I'm sorry, I'm easy to please if looks are accompanied by a great sound.
