Pat Green gets a new job as a morning show host

Pat GreenPhoto via Wikipedia

Well this is fun.  Wave on Wave songster, Pat Green, is trading one microphone in for another.

According to All Access, effective immediately, Pat Green will join the Mosser & Hudson Morning Show for the weekday morning show on KVET in Austin, Texas.

“Pat Green is a Texas music icon and we are excited to have him be part of the Mosser & Hudson Morning Show weekday,” said PD Joel Burke. “Pat is very well spoken on a variety of topics and we look forward to sharing his perspective and experiences with KVET listeners each morning.”

Pat will join the morning crew in the studio, but will also co-host the show while he's out on tour doing shows.

Have microphone, will travel.

If you're worried that Pat's giving up his music career for a life of a disc jockey, never fear because the new gig is only for the month of June.

If you'd like to listen to Pat do his thing, you can check out KVET.com.

Pat Green gets most airplays of the decade award

Boy, that Pat Green is one popular fella in The Lonestar State.

While performing Sunday night at Houston's Freedom Festival, Pat was presented with the "Decade Award" by the Texas Music Chart for having the most Texas radio airplay in the first decade of the Music Chart.

Pat's music played an amazing 269,783 on Texas radio stations which works out to a Pat Green song playing on the radio somewhere in Texas every seven minutes in the first decade of the Chart's existence.

Wave on Wave indeed.

You can find more information on the Texas Music Chart here or find out more info on Pat Green here.

And here's Pat chatting about music with Texas Music TV not too long ago.

Pat Green is a free spirit...well he's free from his record label anyway

PatGreen5

I'm so much happier being on the blogger side of things rather than the money and record label side of things because I really don't understand some of the things that go on.  For example, according to That Nashville Sound, a press release was sent out to Country Aircheck today that said BNA records and Pat Green had amicably parted ways.

Really? Why?  Again, I'll never understand these things.

Remember the time Kenny Chesney mounted Uncle Kracker naked?

Patgreen19-430x250

Me either, but Pat Green does.

OMG!!!  This is such a funny interview segment from Pat Green talking about naked Kenny.  I actually have tears running down my cheeks.

Take a listen and then check out the rest of the interview over on US99.

A little birdie just whispered in my ear

PatGreen  Lost_trailers_5236

Today seems to be the day for free concerts.  It's being whispered that there will be a surprise Pat Green show at the Stage tonight and right afterwards the Lost Trailers will be at the Second Fiddle, both on Lower Broadway in Nashville.  Pat will start at 10 PM and the the Trailers will go on right after – sometime between 11:30 and midnight.

I was told that if you show up you should be able to get in but there are no guarantees, basically it's a first come first served thing.

Now shhhhh, this is a secret.

Behind the scenes with Pat Green

Here's a behind-the-scenes of Pat Green's Let Me video shoot.

The best part of the video is that you get to sit and listen to the whole song while you watch it.

OMG! Pat Green's on fire!

Okay, Pat Green was not really on fire, but he did perform at the NMSU Homecoming Bon Fire in Las Cruces, New Mexico last night.  A huge fire and a free concert for college kids, can you imagine how fun that party was?!?
