Okay guys, here's the first in my long-ass list of singers, groups, CDs, books, and press releases to get through. I chose these guys out of a sort of obligation to those I made promises to, but I chose them first because they're actually really great. Color me totally surprised.
If you've never heard of One Night Rodeo, they won the Next GAC Star competition back in September. Now I'm not one for watching all these singing competitions, but I'm starting to seriously think I should start since so many of today's stars are starting out that way.
After winning the competition, the group - who is made up of band members Duane Allison (bass), Mike Elrod (drums), Cory Hildreth (lead vocals) and Jack Tamburin (electric guitar) - immediately released their new single Alive and Living and it's a really great song.
Along with the the title of the "Next GAC Star" star, the boys received a Gibson Hummingbird guitar, the opportunity to film a music video, and the biggest deal of them all, a record deal with Original Signal Recordings.
