We all know about Keith's Nicole tattoo and his phoenix tribal tattoo, but he also has one that most people probably don't even know he has.
In his newest AT&T Samsung video, Keith talks about the very first tattoo he ever got, an eagle over his right shoulder blade that he gifted himself on his 24th birthday.
"I got an eagle because I was in America, I had just sort of been spending time here, I was single and I thought, gosh, you know, it's my birthday, I want to give myself a cool gift, and I thought the eagle just seemed perfect. It was American, I had my freedom, and it was something that would be on this journey with me for my whole life."
Oh man, getting a tattoo in honor of another person - unless it's for your child or a dead grandmother - is pretty much never a good idea.
That said, let's check out the new ink LeAnn Rimes is thinking about getting.
Apparently LeAnn and Eddie were in Chicago for Lollapalooza over the weekend when she had a test run of a fancy new tattoo, although she didn't go through with any actual tattooing. She's reportedly thinking of finishing the job in the next few days.
The tattoo prototype says: “You gave me the courage to be truthful. I promise to give you the comfort to be trustful.”
Well at least it doesn't have a name or a face attached to it.
Terri Clark's mom Linda passed away in April of last year after a long battle with cancer and to help commemorate her love, Terri recently got a new tattoo.
Terri recently Tweeted the above picture along with: Thanks to Joe at Queen of Hearts Tattoo in Nashville for completing my memorial ink today and also bringing my Canadian maple leaf back to life.
Now it's hard to tell but I think this is her left forearm. I Googled and back in May Terri posted a picture of her originally getting the tattoo (without the dates) and the way her arm is laying it looks like it's the left forearm, but since you can't see her hand it's hard to tell. Check out the red and painful looking original tattoo picture here.
Just found out that Terri Clark has a tattoo so I figured I better add it to my Nashville Ink section.
Terri's a proud Canadian and shows it with her maple leaf tattoo fashioned after the one that appears on the Canadian flag. She reportedly got it back in 2001.
Miranda Lambert spent last weekend whooping it up in Kentucky for her bachelorette party and took time to share the new ink she was sporting on her foot in honor of her animal charity.
She wrote on Twitter: My new tattoo!! MuttNation Foundation will live on forever!http://t.co/IOPvATL
BTW, if you're lovin' Miranda's fancy footwear, the shoes are called Gypsy Soule Audrey Flip-Flops and you can get similar ones on Amazon.com and various other places around the web.
So Justin Moore posted this picture of his new tattoo on his Twitter the other day.
He said it was in honor of his daughter, Ella Kole's, birthday.
His daughter's birthday is February 11th.
And the roman numerals above are either for 19 (yes, I Googled it) or 2-10-1-10 or 2/19.....none of which really make any sense to me if it's for Ella's birthday. Anyone have a clue?
Oh, and don't get me started on the fact that it's October and not February. Too.Many.Questions.
Update: Okay, not so confusing. Thanks to the deciphering abilities of my fabulous commenters, the tattoo is II = 2, (February), XI = 11, X = 10 (for 2010) (via Vicky's well-put code).
Have I ever mentioned that I'm blonde and not afraid to admit that fact? Ha ha.
All I can say is thank goodness Twitter didn't exist when I was doing crazy stuff like getting tattoos after an evening of drinking (yes, I have a tattoo that also involved a little alcoholic encouragement. Don't ask).
I was going to say cheating does a body good, but I'm making a conscious effort to be nicer so thought I would hold my tonge.
Besides, LeAnn's now divorced so I spose it's time to let sleeping dogs lie....or something like that.
Anyway, LeAnn showed her bangin' bikini bod this weekend while taking in a little pool time with Eddie and his boys.
LeAnn's also sporting a little ink on the hip there. Wasn't sure I'd ever seen the tattoo before so I had to go see if I could find some pictures of it.
Turns out LeAnn's actually got two tattoos (that I know of), a tattoo on her wrist that reportedly says trust and then she's got some mysterious thing on her hip. It looks like Initials but I can't be sure. Anyone have a clue?
It must be new or Shape Magazine photoshopped the tat out because it wasn't there when she appeared on the cover of Shape with Martina and Julianne.
Okay, let's just get this out of the way first, Dave Haywood has a tattoo on his derriere, something I'm sure I will never get a picture of (and not too sure I'd want it if I was given it). Now onto the other two Lady A'ers with more visible ink.
Charles Kelley tells The Boot that his tattoo on his right arm is a phrase with a meaning for him. "It says 'All your life, you were only waiting for this moment to arise.' It's from 'Blackbird,' a song by the Beatles."
"We had just had such an amazing year. All these things had started to happen and I had such an interesting journey. I felt like my whole life had been leading up to this."
Hillary has the number 14 tattooed on her right wrist (she also has a tattoo of a musical note on her foot you can see here). She says the #14 has meaning to her for a couple of reasons. "It is a special number to me. That is the age difference in me and my only sibling, me and my little sister. I want to be like her when I grow up; she's very confident in who she is and her personality and she's just amazing.
"And 14 is how old I was when I really felt called to sing and do this for a living, so it's a constant reminder of being called to do this and the importance of that. Plus my little sister is with me all the time."
And what about that Dave Haywood ass-ink? It may or may not be true, Lady A's publicist stepped in before Dave could actually speak about it.
Spoil sport. If you're into tattoos you can check out my Nashville Ink section here.
And while I'm talking about the trio, here they are chatting with Sirius XM where they defend American Idol because talent is talent, no matter how it's found.
"Man, talent's talent's talent," Charles Kelley says. "I mean, it's so hard to get a break. I think that show honestly is one of the greatest things. I truly do."
Makes you kind of wonder if the group has an upcoming Idol appearance, eh.
