Logan Mize sings with a distinctive sound that is all his own. He wrote or co-wrote all but one of the songs on this disc. I liked this CD the first time I heard it. I liked it more the second time. Some artists just hit ya that way. His self-titled CD leads off with Ride in the Middle - my favorite! I recognized the guys in Boys From Back Home and smiled while listening to the lyrics, and American Made is a song made for a live show. Hankin' On is a serving of traditional country that wraps up the CD. There are ten tunes and what comes across most is the heartfelt lyrics. They are sung with a sense of sincerity evidenced in The Girl I Left Behind. This artist may have started out in life by working at the family's own small town food market, but he has definitely learned to deliver more than the groceries! He delivers a CD worth checking out.
