Kristy Lee Cook stopped by radio station WIL 92.3 in Illinois to say hi and got a nice surprise when someone wrote Hello Kristy in colorful Hershey's Kisses.

Reader explains Kristy "sorta" opening for Martina

Bluebloo pointed out her take on why Kristy Lee said she "sorta" opened for Martina.   

By the way I think Kristy was saying she "sorta" opened for Martina because she was on the same bill as Martina, Crystal Shawanda, and Jack Ingram at WXTU Pinkfest in Camden New Jersey. Kristy was the first to perform, then Crystal, then Jack, then Martina. I think Kristy's performance might've been on a different stage than Martina's which would explain the "sorta". There's some video on youtube of Kristy's performances.

How do you "kinda open" for Martina McBride?  Not sure if she was just being modest or maybe it still hasn't hit her yet, but I think Kristy Lee should be screaming it from the rooftops in excitement that she opened for Martina. 

I expect excitement for your next vlog Kristy.

As a side note, I just heard her new single "15 Minutes of Shame" on the radio for the first time earlier.  Good for her.

Kristy Lee put a video on her MySpace to promote her new CD, "Why Wait."  It shows her at home with her dogs and horses and it shows her in the studio. 

She's not as cute as Kellie Pickler or as talented as Carrie Underwood, but I think she'll do just fine as the newest country American Idol.

I do hope that the next AI country star has a name that starts with something other than a C or a K.  Kellie, Carrie, and now Kristy, it's getting a little confusing.
