Taylor Swift accepts the Billboard Woman of the Year Award

Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, and Julianne Hough (sporting quite the fancy bath towel) are all currently at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas where Taylor was just presented with the Billboard Woman of the Year Award.  

Carrie is scheduled to perform so I will definitely have that video up and running as quick as I can get a copy.

Carrie Underwood to appear on "Dancing with the Stars" semifinals results show Tuesday

Mark your calendars, fans, because on Tuesday, May 15, Carrie Underwood will hit the Dancing with the Stars stage to perform her current hit, Good Girl, on the show's semifinals results show.  

The evening will also have a homecoming of sorts as Julianne Hough will be on hand to promote her new movie Rock of Ages, with a performance with her costar Diego Boneta. I assume they will perform a song from the movie, but I'm not 100% sure.   

To round out the ladies night, Alanis Morissette will sing her new single Guardian. 

Ryan Seacrest proves he's got balls...performs an American Idol engagement fake out on poor Julianne Hough

Wow, I kind of have a new respect for Ryan Seacrest and the size of his cojones because boy's apparently got some big brass ones. 

Seacrest and sometimes country singer, sometimes dancer, sometimes actress Julianne Hough have been dating for what seems an exceptionally long time (especially in the celebrity world) and on Wednesday's American Idol, Ryan approached Julianne, who was in the audience, and told her he had a question he'd been meaning to ask her for a while now.

As he reached into his pocket, Julianne looked a bit panicked and the audience audibly gasped.

So what was the big question?  Nope, it wasn't a proposal, instead he asked Julianne to give Rock of Ages costar Tom Cruise a note for him.  

Can't decide if this is funny or the cruelest joke ever in the history of forever played on a girlfriend on live (?) television.  

I just hope for Julianne's sake this was all set up beforehand and she was in on the joke.  

Julianne Hough heading back to "Dancing with the Stars" in the near future

Professional dancer/actress/singer/girlfriend hasn't been on the show that made her a household name, Dancing with the Stars, since season 8 when she was partnered with her then boyfriend Chuck Wicks.  But that may be about to change. 

Yesterday morning, Julianne's current main squeeze, Ryan Seacrest, interviewed Julianne's brother, DWTS pro Derek Hough, and his current dancing partner Ricki Lake.  During the interview Ricki turned interviewer and asked Ryan if he would ever head over to watch the show himself. 

Ryan said, "Well, I think I'm coming because another Hough I think is coming on. I think she's coming back. So I think I'm coming back for that night." 

"I heard that," Ricki said. "I heard a rumor about that."

With Footloose coming to theaters October 14th, I imagine she'll be stopping in a lot of places to promote the flick, and it seems only natural that she'd make a stop at DWTS to show a few of her Footloose dance moves.  

And on a side note, if you find that you're a fan of the clothing, boots, makeup, etc. that you've seen in promos for the movie, Home Shopping Network is going to be offering a bunch of goodies from the movie for consumers to buy.

Julianne Hough lines up new movie

Julianne Hough is becoming quite the Hollywood hot commodity these days.  She has "Footloose" coming out October 14th, "Rock of Ages" coming out June of 2012, and an animated flick, "Not Born to be Gladiators", coming sometime in 2012, and now it appears she's lined up her next role.

THR is reporting that Julianne has signed on to star in "Juno" writer Diablo Cody's directorial debut, "Lamb of God" (old title, official title unknown) along with comedian Russell Brand. 

Julianne will play a "young conservative religious woman (Hough) who loses her faith after a plane crash, decides to go to Las Vegas to live the life of a sinner, and on her journey finds her way back to her faith. Brand plays her unlikely companion who helps her find herself."

So I guess it's a biopic?

Shooting will reportedly begin this spring.  

So I wonder if the proper amount of time has passed for me to stop calling Julianne Hough a country singer and start considering her just an actress?  

Someone really should come out with a blogger netiquette book to answer these sorts of blog-writing conundrums.

Julianne Hough's phone hacking is funny, boring, and OMG! all rolled into one

Celebrity phone hacking....it's a thing now. 

Unfortunately, most starlets who have their phones hacked end up with nude pictures, sex tapes, their celebrity little black book, or drug photos exposed to the world and can have a lot of explaining to do, but generally it's more an annoyance than anything. 

Julianne Hough had her phone hacked recently and the photos the hackers released are just about the most tame bunch of hacked photos you're ever going to see. 

She really does appear to be the good girl she portrays to the world.  

Of course, cute photos of puppies, costumes, and Ryan Seacrest are just the tip of the iceberg because Julianne's phone also had some rather important things on it like her Footloose script, health insurance info (!), and her entire unreleased album that's been sitting around waiting for the right time to be released.  

Wow.    

The group who hacked Julianne's phone as well as others in the magazine world and in Hollywood is an offshoot of the infamous hackers Anonymous and call themselves Hollywood Leaks.  The main purpose of their hacking endeavors seems to be to annoy celebs and just sort of piss people off for the fun of it.

Mission accomplished I'd think.  Of course, celeb photos are one thing, releasing a person's medical information is quite another. 

The release of Hough’s insurance card, however, is not just distasteful. It may be criminal according to the Department of Health and Human Services, which says that the release of personally identifiable health information may result in prison sentences of 1 to 10 years and penalties of $50,000 to $250,000.

Of course, I can't imagine the feds taking this all that seriously, but hopefully they might.

Awww, I think Ryan Seacrest may be in love....Julianne Hough, probably not so much

You know, I've always been kind of harsh to Ryan Seacrest.  I don't know why, he's just so dang pretty. 

Maybe I'm jealous? 

Well after watching the above video that CBS Sunday Morning ran I believe last Sunday, I have to say that I'm crushing just a little on Ryan. 

Yeah, I'm easy that way. 

If you watch towards the end of the video (at about the 6 minute mark), he talks about Julianne Hough and even seems to get a bit choked up. I'd say he's pretty dang smitten (or maybe he's just tired? Man's a machine!).  

So sweet. 

Of course, I'm not sure Julianne's quite as taken with Ryan (or at least she hides it better).

Out doing promotions for Footloose, Julianne says she was at the recent Kim Kardashian wedding where she was voted best dressed at the wedding. 

Celebrity weddings...sheesh. 

Julianne tells Extra, "I'm not anywhere near a wedding right now, but it was a beautiful wedding!" 

Oh come on, Julianne, marry Ryan. I so, so want to see him blubbering like a school girl during the vows because I'm pretty sure that's what's going to happen when he does get married.

Check out the new theatrical trailer for Footloose. It looks surprisingly good.  Guess there's still hope.    

A wet Julianne Hough looks suspiciously like a 14-year-old babysitter

 

Julianne Hough is one sexy lady....until you dunk her in a pool that is, then she looks more than a little like your average neighborhood babysitter.

Julianne, her brother Derek, and boyfriend (Julianne's not Derek's) Ryan Seacrest spent the weekend relaxing at a hotel pool in Miami where Julianne is currently in town shooting the Tom Cruise helmed flick Rock of Ages. 

Julianne took a dip in the refreshing pool and knocked 25 years off.  

Totally crazy.

And speaking of Julianne and Rock of Ages, if you live in Miami and wanna be in a movie, the Rock of Ages folks are looking for a few thousand extras for an important concert scene.  

Just be at Miami's Sun Life Stadium at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 18, and dress like you were going to an '80s-era rock concert and bam, you may just get the chance to be in the movie.
