Jewel Kiss For Country commercials
Here's the new video for Jewel's "Til It Feels Like Cheating." It's a song about having a rendevous, but rather than being bad it's with your spouse. Nice. The man in the video is Jewel's real life husband, Ty Murray.
This has got to be about my fave Jewel song to date. What a great song.
I came across a couple of different Jewel items so I figured I'd just make a single post here.
First off, Jewel talked on the red carpet last night about getting down to the business of making babies. She told Access Hollywood:
"We want to start a family. I hope to tour next year and start a family, so we'll see."
Then she told a bit of her upcoming holiday plans.
"On Black Friday, the Friday after Thanksgiving, I'm giving away my record for one dollar on my Web site," she said. "And, I'm giving all the proceeds to the Country Music Hall of Fame."
Now that's getting into the holiday spirit.
If you can't get enough of Jewel, I also came across some old pictures (as in 2003) of her in Blender Magazine. They're really sexy so be careful. ;0)
Here's video of Jewel kicking off A Kiss For Country.
Mary Kay Cosmetics and Jewel unveiled the "A Kiss for Country" promotion to raise money for domestic violence prevention and education today in Nashville.
More than 60 country artists kissed, autographed, and made notes on special Mary Kay prints which will now be auctioned on uBid.com.
For more info visit the Mary Kay Ash Foundation or to bid go to uBid.com. More pics here.
Jewel founded Project Clean Water, a non-profit charity, in 1997 to bring sustainable improvements and build wells and water filtrations systems for people around the world who don't have access to clean drinking water. Today her charity is front and center as it is showcased as MySpace's Celebrity Impact. Check it out here.
Jewel and her hubby, Ty Murray, hosted Bull Rider's Night at LAX Nightclub in Las Vegas last night, November 8. Jewel also performed at the party.
You know it's gotta be love between those two because Ty is really sort of a goofy looking guy. I've never seen him take a good picture so I don't know if maybe he's just not photogenic. Has anyone ever seen him in person? Is he goofy in person too?
Not trying to be mean, just making an observation. You can also read Jewel's blog here about being in Vegas and her love of cowboys.
Jewel performs Stronger Woman and I Do for Houston's Q93 listeners.
But who will she prank? Jewel has decided to hit the road in January for a solo acoustic headlining tour.
"I really enjoy performing acoustically and have been looking forward to doing these shows," said Jewel. "It gives me the chance to tell the stories behind my songs and connect with the fans in an intimate setting."
So does she have enough country songs to perform an entire solo gig? Or will she be singing some of her other music as well? I guess since none of her concerts come near me, I'll probably never know.
