Oh the joys of being a celebrity and trying to lend a hand to a charity for a good cause. Only Jack Ingram may want to make sure the next time he tries to help out that it doesn't involve 1200 pounds of steak and hamburger on the hoof.
Jack, Trent Willmon, and Jason Meadows all took part in the first annual Tough Enough to Wear Pink CBR All- Star Challenge in Nashville last week. The country singers rode steers and were the special attraction in an otherwise normal bull ride. Supposedly steers are less dangerous than bulls.
Yeah, try telling that to Jack.
He got on his steer but within three seconds he was rammed to the ground with the wind knocked out of him. Afterwards he was taken to an emergency room where he was told he didn't have any serious injuries, including no broken bones, but he was in a lot of pain.
Jack told Hazel from CMT, "I feel like I've been in a car wreck. That's my first and last time on a bull." He added, "This job is hazardous enough without adding serious bodily harm."
And in case you were wondering, Trent Willmon won the celebrity portion of the steer ride, even though he was also thrown. On a positive note, $20,000 was raised from ticket sales which went to Tough Enough to Wear Pink, a charity which is dedicated to raising money to help fight breast cancer.
