Hank would like you to help reinstate Hank

CMT is reporting that Hank III is trying very hard to get his late grandfather, Hank Williams, Sr., reinstated into the Grand Ole Opry after he was kicked out back in 1952.  The singer died before he could sober up and be readmitted.  Hank has an online petition he would like everyone to sign hereto try and get Hank Sr. reinstated into the Opry posthumously. 

Sounds like a great idea to me.  So far they have 31,912 signatures, click here to make it 31,913.

Here's the new video for Hank Williams III's song "Long Hauls & Close Calls" off his new CD "Damn Right Rebel Proud" which is due out October 21.

Hank Williams III, grandson of Hank Williams, is set to release a new record, "Damn Right Rebel Proud," Oct. 21 on Sidewalk Records. 

I went onto YouTube and Hank's MySpace and listened to some of his music.  What can I say but wow! He totally rocks for a country guy.  They describe him as cowpunk and I think this word just about sums up his crazy, wild, frantic music the best.  The guy's band is called Assjack, need I say more?  If you're tired of the same old country stuff, visit Hank 3.
