OMG! It's Keith's shoe print!!!
LOL. Gotta love a good star-attacks-paparazzi story, dontcha?
On Monday, it was reported that the usually docile Keith Urban got out into the wilds of Nashville and straight into an altercation with a car....a celebrity-snapping paparazzo's car.
Now the photographer is talking, Keith Urban not so much.
So far Keith's camp has had nothing to say about the complaint that was filed with Nashville police that accuses Keith of attacking the photographer's car and intimidating the poor cowering paparazzo inside.
Sorry, violence is never good and I shouldn't make light of it, but come on, having your car ravaged by Keith Urban? I have to chuckle at the visual created in my head.
Anyway, Willem Pietersen, the photographer who may or may not have actually been cowering inside the car, tells E! News that the attack was completely unprovoked.
"I was attacked without provocation," Pietersen tells us exclusively, noting that he's only speaking out because he wants the truth to be known he did nothing wrong.
"I don't want Keith's money," he ads when asked about the possibility of a civil suit.
The shutterbug acknowledged snapping photos of Urban and wife Nicole Kidman as they were leaving a Nashville restaurant on July 27. According to Pietersen, that's when the musician spotted Pietersen's vehicle 100 feed away and approached.
"He cussed me out. He took photos of me. He pounded on my car," says the photog. "I was startled. It was not what I was expecting. I am a nonviolent person."
To prove his account is no, um, Urban legend. Pietersen even snapped a pic of what Pietersen says is the country crooner's shoe print on the rear door of the brand new Chevy.
Pietersen goes on to say that he didn't take any pictures during the attack because he figured it would just anger Keith even more, which is probably true, but man, the money he could have made from those. Whew, I can only imagine. Wonder if he regrets his decision now?
