Golden Globe Awards... Let’s (Not) Pan To Taylor Swift

If you saw the title of my recent article on the People’s Choice Awards, you’ll appreciate my awesome pun skill(z) by the time you’ve finished reading THIS article.

So the Golden Globes were last night. Both Keith Urban and the aforementioned Taylor Swift were up for the same award of ‘Best Original Song – Movie’. Neither won, and instead it was given to Adele for ‘Skyfall’, which I didn’t mind as it’s a good song and Adele is a fantastic performer. If it had stopped there, I wouldn’t have bothered writing this article, and that would have been that. Except, this happened:

 

Tina Fey (how gorgeous was her dress?!) and Amy Poehler were the night’s hosts, and after they both lost their category they proceeded to ‘get drunk’ on stage. Of course the banter is amusing and everyone’s having a good time, until, out of the blue, Tina shouts “and you know what, Taylor Swift... you stay away from Michael J. Fox’s son!”

What’s 2013 Set To Hold In Country Music? I Have A Go At Making Some REAL Predictions...

Well, we had my summary of 2012 in country music, and after querying it on Twitter, apparently people would like my take on what’s in store for the bright new year. I’m going to predict things at random. Mostly they’re educated guesses, but we all need a few totally off-the-wall predictions, right?

• Hillary Scott’s baby will be a boy. I have no idea what is telling me this, but something is.
• Another country star will get pregnant. I think Carrie and Miranda (who have often been asked about kids) are more set for 2014/15, but a country star somewhere is bound to get pregnant.
• As for Taylor Swift relationship drama, I think after a couple of months the relationship with Harry will be over (although judging by her most recent tweet, “...’til you put me down.” It may already be), and she will have another two more relationships before the year is out, with a couple of other people she’s romantically linked with in the media but it doesn’t come to anything. Taylor has learned that relationships = publicity so I think her record label will be onto her to keep in the public eye in this way.
• Kellie Pickler’s 2012 album ‘100 Proof’ wasn’t very well promoted by her label, who she then split from last year, but now she has signed with Black River Entertainment I think she will release a brand new single, totally out of left field and blow everyone away.
• Kristian Bush will release an EP of acoustic sessions and a few songs he’s been working on, whilst Jennifer is off on maternity leave with her baby. It just makes sense and I really want it to happen.

Holy crappola, the Taylors have split!

Oh man, the suits involved in the upcoming 'Valentine's Day' movie aren't going to be one bit happy about this. 

According to Us Magazine Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner are no longer Taylor squared or Taylor x2 or TayTay or any of those other cutesie names all us bloggers liked coming up with and have reportedly went their separate ways.

"It wasn't really developing into anything, and wasn't going to, so they decided they were better as friends," a source close to Swift, 20, tells Us. "There was no chemistry, and it felt contrived."

Darn, super sad face. 

So what could have done in the too-cute pair?  Apparently the puppy love was a little stronger on the werewolf side of things.  

However, the relationship officially fizzled when Lautner, 17, flew to Nashville for Swift's birthday party on Dec. 13, a friend of the singer reveals.

"He liked her more than she liked him," the source tells Us. "He went everywhere he could to see her, but she didn't travel much to see him."

So if the Swift-half of the duo did the breaking up does that mean that no good songs will be coming out of this relationship? 

Well sheesh, I was hoping for a wedding ring and beautiful kids

Ahh man, what a way to ruin my day.  Seems country cutie couple Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks have decided to call it quits according to reports from People.com and E! News. 

And I was hoping they'd pop out a kid or two ready to give Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's kids a run for their money.  Guess I lost that office pool.

A source tells People.com, "This was mutual. They needed some time apart."

But the two may need to wait just a while longer for time apart since Chuck will be doing Red Carpet duty for Entertainment Tonight tomorrow at the CMAs and Julianne is set to be a presenter.

Rolling Stone gets into the teen drama biz

Warning!  Teen filled angst and drama ahead.

It's been months and months since Taylor and the JoBro broke up but for some reason a lot of people can't let it die a proper death.  Alright, I'm guilty myself since I'm currently writing this post, but Rolling Stone started it!

See The Jonas Brothers have a new song out called Paranoid.  There are a couple of bits and pieces of lyric that could (according to RS) have been written about Taylor. 

All's fair in love and war I suppose since she wrote a song about the breakup first. 

So what are the probable Taylor-war-words?  You can listen to the song hereon the boys' MySpace, but there is a line that says, “That’s why my ex is still my ex/I never trust a word she says/I’m running all the background checks/And she’s freaking out.” Joe also sings that he's, “caught in a nightmare/can’t wake up.”

Do you suppose Taylor will retaliate and write a new song now? 

But it seemed like a love made to last

I figured it would happen, but rumor is Carrie Underwood has dumped Travis Stork.  Too bad, so sad. 

The two were the most undercover lovers since Taylor and Joe Jonas, so it really comes as no surprise that no pictures of the two ever emerged as well as no official confirmation.  

Guess it was probably fun while it lasted.  Of course, the news is coming from Intern Adam so who knows where he's got his information.  Perhaps this is just a clever ploy by the Underwood-Stork camp to throw people off the trail and next week they'll wind up in Mexico married and honeymooning.  Ha ha.  Or maybe we just don't really give a damn anymore.  Either way, better luck next time Miz Carrie.  Maybe she'll take a page out of Taylor's book and write some kick-ass songs to make herself feel better.

Taylor updates her MySpace

I sure hope this isn't all she has to say.

Taylor took a little time in between busy time last night and updated her MySpace.  On the front page it tells all kinds of stuff about Taylor, what she loves, what she hates, and most importantly what she likes in a guy.  After the reported breakup of her and Joe the JoBro, this little part that's scratched out speaks volumes:

But I'm also the girl who still believes prince charming exists somewhere out there-- fully equipped with great hair and an immature sense of humor.

Awww, tough stuff.  Breakups are hard to deal with on their own, can't imagine doing it in the public eye.  Chin up Taylor. 

New Taylor Swift music coming real soon

Well guys, sad news to report.  The unofficial couple of Taylor Swift and the JoBro, Joe, have unofficially broken up. 

US Magazine says:  A source tells Us the two - who dated for several months - split in early October. He broke up with her over the phone.  Says the insider: "He broke her heart."

Awww, sad, sad.  On a happier note, Taylor has made no secret of the fact that she uses her relationships as fuel for the fire of her songwriting, so I have a feeling either MySpace blog posts or new music is sure to follow. 

Shania Twain out and about

Shania Twain has finally resurfaced two months after the split with her husband of 14 years, Robert "Mutt" Lange. 

Most people would be holed up in a little room somewhere eating Chunky Monkey and wearing sweats, but then Shania is not most people.

Instead, Shania has been spending lots of time with her 6-year-old son, Eja D'Angelo, and writing music, lots and lots of music. 

"She's spending as much time with Eja as possible and hasn't put down her guitar since the split," a source close to singer tells PEOPLE. "The songs are pouring out of her."

Shania has the looking-damn-good part down pat, now the next best revenge is releasing her most successful and powerful record to date, which heartbreak and wanting to kick the ass of the "other woman" should help create.

Eat your heart out Dog Mutt.

Shania Twain is doing okay after her recent split from her husband, Robert "Mutt" Lange, last year after 14 years of marriage.

Shania and the dog in her life, Mutt, seperated after it came to be known that he had an alleged affair with Shania's friend, Marie-Anne Thiébaud. Both Mutt and Thiébaud have both denied the affair.
