In the past I've always had people write and let me know that they were interested in writing for Gab. Then we'd talk for a bit and they'd submit some writings via email or a link to their writing somewhere on the web. If I thought they were interesting then they'd send me some stories and I'd post them. If that person survived all that and was still interested in writing then I'd give them a guest account on Gab and they'd be free to write to their heart's content.
Well I'm shaking things up a bit and making it easier to write for NashvilleGab.
If you fancy yourself a writer (or even if it just sounds fun) and you eat, sleep, and live country music then you can contribute to NashvilleGab very easily. To start, simply follow these steps:
- Head over to Typepad.com. In the upper right corner will be a login button. Use the sign-in info: Username: email@example.com and Password: guestwriter.
- This will take you to the dashboard.
- Simply hit the compose button and write away. Your story will be saved as a draft, which means that anything you write must first be proofread and approved before it will appear on the website. You can't hurt anything so don't be afraid to try it out.
Not all stories will end up on the site, but if I enjoy reading what you've written and I think my readers will like it then more than likely you will see your story published on NG sometime in the near future.
You can write music reviews, video reviews, concert reviews, gossip stories you've read somewhere, or other country music news that you find interesting. If you like, at the bottom of your story you can add a byline and give info for others to follow you on Twitter, Facebook, your own website, or any other info you want to give folks. You can do something like what you see below in bold.
People who have businesses and would like to use this opportunity to write a story for NashvilleGab and then add a link to a business can also do that.
Most important of all is to have fun.
If you have any questions or problems, feel free to email me at the address below.Like what we're sharing? Keep up with all the fun by following NashvilleGab on Twitter,Facebook, or subscribe to our feed. If you have something you'd like to share, drop me a line at Shannon@NashvilleGab.com.
