Early this morning I was tweeted by a rapper.
Now, despite how cool and worldly you may think I am, this is not a common occurrence. In fact, it's so unusual that I had to, HAD TO watch the video this @sickswagent tweeted me just out of sheer curiosity.
What I came across was a fun video the rapper and his crew (or is $ick $wag Ent the name of the whole group of rappers? Your guess is as good as mine) shot at a recent Toby Keith concert in Tampa, Florida.
So why would a rapper and his posse head to a Toby Keith concert? Well back in January, the group released a rap version of Toby's Red Solo Cup (video here). Apparently, Toby was so happy with the hip hop redo that he invited the boys to his Tampa concert.
What follows is a nearly 16 minute video of $ick $wag ENT behind the scenes at the concert, performing his/their version of the song on stage before Toby and then joining Toby during his rendition of the party song, and the group interacting with Toby, Thomas Rhett, and hundreds of Toby fans who were at the concert.
It's an absolute blast! Despite a few niggas, bitches, and other swear words sprinkled throughout the video — hey, they're rappers, what did you expect? — the video is loads of fun to watch and it showcases how cool Toby, his crew, and his fans really are.
And just to be clear, $ick $wag ENT has some of his/their music playing at various times throughout the video so the unsavory words are part of the music and not words used to describe anyone at the concert.
Here are some of the highlights from the video just in case you don't want to watch it due to having tender, easily offended ears.
