Reba has a dream....an acting dream.
Reba was recently at the Television Critics Association press tour to promote her new show 'Malibu Country' when Zap2it asked the country queen what role she'd like if she had her choice. Her answer was kind of surprising.
"'Downton Abbey!' Was I too quick on that answer? I've already got it in my mind, I've already got it written it out. I would love to play Lady Mary's cousin. Shirley MacLaine's going to be the mother, and I could play her other daughter who lives in America."
"I love that show and I can't wait for the third season," Reba continues. "I'm a huge fan of Shirley MacLaine too. All the characters, the cinematography. Everything is beautiful on that show. Just a great story. I love it."
'Downton Abbey', a PBS drama about British aristocracy in the early 1900s, has taken America by storm and it seems everyone who watches it is hooked. It would definitely be interesting to see Ms. Reba go from Southern drawl to British aristocratic accent, that's for sure. Of course, if she played a cousin from America, maybe her Southern drawl would be preferable.
'Downton Abbey's' 3rd season begins January 6, 2013.
