Tim McGraw is heading into business territory that is usually reserved for the hip hop artists and rappers of the world....the headphone business.
Several different hip hop artists and rappers have designed and endorsed headphones, but now Tim McGraw has become the first country artist to do the same.
It was announced today that starting this month, Walmart, Guitar Center, and JBL.com will start carrying the Tim McGraw designed JBL Headphones and has joined their Hear The Truth campaign, a campaign by the company to deliver quality products that reproduce music the way artists want it to be heard.
“Music fans today should not compromise when it comes to sound,” said Dinesh C. Paliwal, chairman, president and CEO of HARMAN. “Our partnership with Tim McGraw shows that musicians want to deliver audio products that represent and emphasize the acoustic quality they work hard to achieve. We think Tim McGraw’s fans – and any music lover – will appreciate these custom-designed headphones for a performance that faithfully delivers music the way the artist intended.”
The headphones come in two different styles - the on-ear style, which is the old fashioned, more comfortable type that fits over your ear. These sell for around $129.95. The other style is the earbud style, the type that fits inside your ear, and those have a suggested retail price of $49.95.
You should start seeing Tim McGraw all over promoting the new headphones as he will appear in both print and T.V. ads. JBL is also an official sponsor of Tim's upcoming tour.
