Reba has so many awards in her collection that I'm sure it's pretty tough to keep track of what's what.
Well she's got another award she will be getting next week that's pretty prestigious, only problem is Reba didn't really know why she was getting it at first.
On September 19th, Reba will be receiving the Career Achievement Award at the ACM Honors ceremony being held at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Reba will be presented the award for having "advanced the popularity and acceptance of country music through their endeavors in the entertainment industry in multiple areas during the preceding calendar year.”
Sounds about right.
But Reba admits she was a bit clueless to what it was for at first. “I really wasn’t sure what that was. As a matter of fact somebody congratulated me on it … oh, Melissa Peterman. She texted me and she said, “Congratulations!”. I said, “What for?” And she said, “Well you got the Career Achievement Award.” I said, “What’s that for?” and she said, “Well I don’t know, but they’re all tweeting about it.” And so I really didn’t understand what it was, except, I guess an achievement for my career, so that was great!”
Well, you know, it's probably not too important to know what the award is for, as long as you're gracious about getting it. Like the lyrics to my favorite song say, just be nice to the gentleman Fancy, and they'll be nice to you.
