As I mentioned on Monday, Loretta Lynn has had to cancel some upcoming shows due to pending knee surgery.
The shows are supposed to be rescheduled if and when possible, but one venue isn't missing a beat with Loretta's cancellation, they're just bringing in a last minute replacement.
Loretta was scheduled to kick off the Corn Palace Festival August 23rd in Mitchell, South Dakota, but when she was forced to cancel they called up Tanya Tucker who agreed to take Lynn's place.
“Same time, same date, same price,” Corn Palace Director Mark Schilling said. “Tuesday, August 23, at 7 p.m. We won’t reissue tickets this close to the show, so your tickets are good.”
If you live in the area and are still disappointed about Lynn's departure, you can get a refund if you prefer.
Loretta is scheduled to be back on the stage for the first time September 3rd at a concert at her Hurricane Mills ranch.
