Kylie Minogue may be a pop diva, but that does't mean she doesn't appreciate good music when she hears it.
Kylie tells the UK's Daily Star that Dolly was a big influence on her new album 'Aphrodite'.
“Believe it or not, Dolly Parton was the inspiration for this album.
“We’d test every song with an acoustic guitar in Dolly Parton style and if it worked in that style we knew it was a hit.
“I even brought the cheapest cowboy and cowgirl outfi ts in to the studio with me.
“Stuart dressed as the cowboy playing Kenny Rogers and I came in and punched out a good old rendition of Yeehaa and All The Lovers in Dolly Parton style.”
I've listened to several tracks from the album (samples here) and don't hear the olly Parton influence, but hey, she's appreciates Dolly and that's what counts.
