Elizabeth went and checked out Lee Brice - and sent along a video - and asked me to make sure I embedded the video for Love Like Crazy so I did, but then I watched the video for More Than a Memory and all I can say is wow. So emotional and powerful. He does Garth proud I think.
Lee Brice’s hard work has finally paid off – His debut album “Love Like Crazy” was released last Tuesday, June 8. Lee signed to Curb Records in 2007, and it is about time he got an album out! If you’re not familiar with Lee Brice, you will certainly be familiar with some of his work. Brice has written a couple country hits for other artists – Tim McGraw’s “Still” and Garth Brooks’ “More Than A Memory.” With his new album out, it is Brice’s time to shine. He told the crowd, “It took us a long time to get it done, but we got it done.”
Last night Brice had every reason to celebrate his CD release with a party at Tin Roof in Nashville. Most of the crowd was “industry folk,” but there were a few die hard Lee Brice fans front and center. Brice treated the crowd to a few songs of his new album, “Sumter County Friday Night,” “Beautiful Every Time,” “Picture of Me,” “Four on the Floor” his first single, “She Ain’t Alright,” “Upper Middle Class White Trash,” “What Part of Leave Me Alone Do You Not Understand,” his current single, “Love Like Crazy,” and the hits he’d written for other artists, “Still” and “More Than A Memory.” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdXwkxwrm3A) Brice is an amazing performer, whether he is playing an acoustic set, with a full band, at a bar or at on a concert stage. He has proven his songwriting talent with hits he has had with other artists, but he also proves his talent on his new album. Brice co-wrote all but three songs on his album. The CD is filled with loud revelry songs, “Sumter County Friday Nights,” which is even more amazing live! There are also ballads like “Love Like Crazy,” and honest, sincere songs and my personal favorite, “Picture of Me.”
I am so happy Brice was finally able to release this album. The “Love Like Crazy” single is currently number 13 on the Country Singles chart, and the album debuted at number 9 on the Country Album chart.
