First, he's got the upcoming do-good concert with buddy, Jimmy Buffett, to benefit the Gulf Coast.
Then we find out that Kenny's spent the last year or so working on a documentary called 'The Boys of Fall' which brings to light the passion of high school football, both for the players and those watching from the stands. The movie will feature commentary from some big-named coaches and players such as Peyton Manning.
Now we got word today that Kenny's newest album called 'Hemingway's Whiskey' is heading to stores September 28th. This will be Kenny's first regular album (as opposed to greatest hits, etc.) in nearly three years.
“I came to town to write songs, to make records, to create something that spoke about how I lived, and the people who I knew who were just like me and my friends lived. I’d like to think we’ve captured that, just like I’d like to think that we’ve all come to realize that life is a little more complicated than maybe we thought. It’s still fun. It’s still intense. It’s still about friends and dreams and all kinds of things, but there’s something more, too.”
