Country singer Chely Wright's reasoning was sound. "There had never, ever been a country music artist who had acknowledged his or her homosexuality," she tells PEOPLE. "I wasn't going to be the first."
But now Wright is changing her tune. "Nothing in my life has been more magical than the moment I decided to come out," she says.
A lot of people have questioned the move because Chely has a book AND CD coming out tomorrow, but maybe with all the nerves that come along with two big releases like that she just figured one more big announcement would just blend in with the rest of the nerves she was already feeling.
Or maybe it is just a big ol' publicity getter, I don't know and really don't care. Timing aside, I say good for her. If she's been living a lie or at least not being her true self in public and this helps her with that, then more power to her.

I don"t think she cares about Brad Paisley in the least or she wouldn't have brought up their sex life at all. I didn't even know who she was until I saw her on TV. She's pathetic!!!! She wouldn't have sold a copy if she wasn't name-dropping in her book.

I'm glad that Chely is finally feeling like she's ok with herself, and that she wants to let others know the truth. Good for her, and I'll be getting her new cd soon!

I know nothing of this gal and I realize this posting is perfectly idiotic but she's got a nice look to her; something of Jewel's eyes. Some people's look just reaches out and grabs ya and she's grab me. Don't give a damn about her orientation. I just hope she's a good person.
