No more estrogen-fueled tour for Kellie Pickler

Kellie had said she had big news about who she was going to tour with, and now we've been let in on her secret. 

Okay, the secret was let out of the bag like nine days ago but being as far behind as I am you'll just have to bear with me. 

Kellie's hitting the road with Rascal Flatts this summer for the first leg of their "Nothing Like This Tour.”

Carrie and Taylor, People pleasing

Well friends, it's that  time of the year again, time for People Magazine to inform us of who's who in the world of beautiful.  Yes, we all know who is beautiful already, but People Mag has fun taking pretty pictures and selling magazines (and I enjoy drooling over the photos), so just go with it. 

This year's aesthetically pleasing issue features two country blonde bombshells.  According to E! news, Carrie and Taylor both made the cut and are two of the 100 most beautiful people in the world of celebrity-dom.  No word  on if any of country's handsome men made the list so I guess we'll just have to buy the issue (or thumb through the pages while standing in the checkout line) to find out. 

 

Shania Twain Tweets

So did you all catch Shania on Idol this week?  I didn't, I've been otherwise preoccupied, but you can catch some of the performances, Shania mentoring, etc. here and here.

Well Shania has officially hit the comeback trail - although I think you could probably argue that she never really left - and her newest brick in the comeback road is Twitter.  You can now follow Shania's official Twitter account at http://twitter.com/FollowShania.  Not much has been posted, but I'm sure that will change as her new album comes closer to be finished and released.

Maybe Mindy's next single should be liar, liar, pants on fire

Gads, I thought this whole Mindy McCready sex tape thing was done and over with.  Not so apparently. 

Welcome to the world of old sex tapes never die and signed model releases never disappear.

E! Online has obtained a release that appears to show that Mindy signed off on AND was paid for her sex tape back on January 13, 2009. 

Yes, 2009.

Maybe she just forgot?

Now you could maybe say it was forged and the "entertainment" company is just trying to get away with exploiting Mindy.  Yeah, you could say that, except for the fact that the release was notarized in Tennessee.

I guess maybe back in 2009 Mindy didn't realize she would have a new CD out and be back on the sober track in 2010.  Too bad, so sad.  Guess the better thing to have done when all this came to light would have been to have said, "oops, I was high at the time."  Everyone would have just chalked it up to that crazy Mindy and her self-destructive ways and no one would still be talking about it. 

But she didn't and now we are (still talking about it that is).  Now I'm curious how much she was paid, but I'm sure that will be the next info to come out. 

Taylor Swift - A camera, a hug, and the C word, oh my

I've been gone a few days so of course there's tons of Taylor stuff going on, so let's get all this out of the way first.

Taylor has teamed up with Sony Electronics to promote the new Cyber-shot DSC-TX7 digital cameras (more info here).  Taylor will be featured in television, digital, print ads, and social network advertising.  The television ads recently started airing on NBC, Fox and CW and will run through June.  

Next up, Fox News host Brian Kilmeade was attempting to introduce a segment about Taylor Swift but had a wee bit of trouble and ended up saying a nasty word instead...on live TV.

And lastly, Taylor made a couple of college guys make their dreams come true.  Ryan and Michael, two Auburn University students, had the dream of getting a hug from Taylor Swift.  So they set up a websiteand posted a video.  Then Taylor posted a video response giving the boys a challenge.  They finished the challenge and Taylor gave them another challenge.  This went on for a while until Taylor finished the online challenges by surprising the guys in person and giving the guys the thrill of a lifetime. 

So cute.

Introducing a very serious looking Cash Rich

Hey, who'da thunk it would be Sebastian Bach and Ted Nugent who would introduce us to John Rich's son instead of like People Magazine, but that's just what happened today.

As I told you a few weeks ago, Danny Gokey recently became the official spokesman for Wisconsin Vision.  Well part of that position includes commercials. Check the first two out below. 

Faith-ware coming your way? Maybe

Faith Hill has conquered the world of music, marriage, football theme songs, and perfume, so why not fashion?

Faith joined the cast of Project Runway on Thursday to help decide the winning designer (check out the complete episode below), so of course the natural question is whether Faith has ever thought about getting into the fashion world herself.

Well turns out she has, or at least she wouldn't be against the idea. 

She tells the Associated Press, "If the right opportunity presents itself, I can guarantee you it would be my passion, and I would put my heart and soul into making it the best it could possibly be. I would design for the women I know and their kids ... busy moms with great style."

"I have always paid close attention to detail in my work, and I understand and relate to big dreams and hard work," she said. "Fortunately, those things served me well while focusing on each designer. It was actually quite natural for me."

As for being on Project Runway, she says, "I was honored to be a part of such an important show. We were making the decision that could change the lives of these designers."

So who knows, maybe soon you'll be able to dress yourself in a pair of Faith Hill mom jeans.

What are you getting your mom for Mother's Day? Miranda gets hers a magazine cover

Sure Miranda, make the rest of us look bad.  Wonder if there's a way to get my mom on the cover of People Magazine for Mom's day.  I may just have to work on that.   

Anyway, Miranda and her mom, Bev, appear on the special Mother's Day issue of Country Weekly which hits stores May 3. Mother's Day is Sunday, May 9th for those of you getting ready to Google it. 

In addition to joining her mom on the cover of a magazine, MIranda will also be helping another family celebrate Mom's Day by joining the cast of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (airing May 9th on ABC) to help make dreams come true for one lucky Oklahoma family.   Miranda will be a volunteer and will also be performing her song The House That Built Me on the show. 

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to get going on getting my mom on the cover of People Mag. 

Catch the Hag's Stagecoach performance on your TV/Radio

Stagecoach is going on this weekend in Indio, California, and even though the majority of us wont be lucky enough to go that does't mean you can't enjoy a little bit of the music...if you have Sirius radio/TV that is. 

Merle Haggard will be performing tomorrow at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California as part of the festival and if you have SIRIUS channel 63 and XM channel 12 you can check out his performance starting at 10 p.m. ET. 

I myself will be fast asleep at that time, but maybe if you're partying the night away you can do it with the help of the Hag.
