Mike Confirms the engagement!

Apparently Mike has been happily telling people he's engaged to Carrie.  Yay!!!

According to The Ottawa Citizen....

"It's true," Fisher said. "We're both obviously excited and very happy and so, exciting times for sure."

A wedding date hasn't been set.

Fisher said he popped the question Sunday, but he wouldn't go into any more details. He has been reluctant to speak about the relationship in the past.

But according to a family friend, Fisher, 29, popped the question at his home Sunday afternoon while surrounded by his family and friends, before texting the good news to many of his close friends later in the day.

Carrie is the sort of woman we need in country music. Country is the life blood of even city folks and we have all moved beyond the trailer trash, homewrecking, get drunk and funky broads so stereotyped from past country. Carrie will stay strong and focused. She'll become a little "kick ass" but as long as her handlers understand that variation of "more of the same" is better than going the sex and trash route, she'll continue to grow as an artist.
