I've got a thing for the dark, brooding bad boy who needs his mouth washed out with soap. Put a guitar in his hands and I'm putty. Something else I like way too much is a sexy accent. And it goes without saying that I love me some country music.
So what do you get when you put a Colin Farrell in front of a screaming crowd, a guitar in his hands, singing country music but speaking with an Irish accent? Me barely able to contain my twitching excitement, that's what.
So what was sexy Irishman Colin Farrell doing singing country music in front of a crowd? Well Colin has a new movie coming out called Crazy Heart in which he plays a country singer and he does his own stunts which in this case would be singing. In September of 2008 Colin and Jeff Bridges (who also stars in the movie) even shot some scenes before a Toby Keith concert.
You can catch Crazy Heart in theaters December 16th.

So how could a vegetarian and a meat eater coexist happily? Well just ask Carrie or her boyfriend, Mike Fisher. See Carrie is an animal-loving vegetarian while mike says in a new interview when asked what he likes to do to relax..."I like hunting or watching golf or football on Sundays and going to church. Sundays are regular days off for us, so that’s how I enjoy my Sundays."
Hunting? Do you suppose he eats what he hunts because I'd think Carrie could teach him a thing or two in that regard.
And as for girlfriend Carrie, she gave a great interview with Esquire where she finishes up sentences that the interviewer starts. Some of the gems were...
Simon's obviously very smart. But he's not the smartest person I know.
Is "Cowboy Casanova" about the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys? No. I would never immortalize a guy that did me wrong. I would never give him that much credit.
And Carrie tells about how American Idol could have possibly never happened for her if she had let her nerves get the better of her...
I was so nervous when I was on my way to L. A. I'd never been on a plane, and I was going alone. I kind of got teary-eyed. My dad was driving, and he said, "If you want to go home, we can go home, and you never have to think about this again." And I thought, If I don't go, I'm choosing for this not to happen. It will be my choice. So I figured it would be easier for me to get kicked off American Idol than to have it be my own decision.

Oh sure, we know lots of people like Taylor Swift, but there's one bad-ass dude you wouldn't think would be a Taylor Swift fan.
Clint Eastwood.
Yep, Dirty Harry himself is a Taylor Swift fan. Okay, fan might be a bit of an overstatement. Let's just say Clint's heard her music and thinks it's a-ok stuff.
"Taylor Swift? I kind of like her," he revealed to MTV News. "I have [listened to her music]; I was listening to some the other day. And I think I like her."
"I'd be pretty embarrassed if I'm going, 'Taylor who?' " he said. "Sometimes you listen to pop radio, just to see what's going on. You don't necessarily have to embrace it, but you want to know what's going on, so when you mention Taylor Swift, at least I can say, 'Yeah, I know who she is.' "
Well that's all well and fine, but someone needs to introduce him to Kellie Pickler's music, she does, after all, want to lick him.

Jo Dee Messina performed this last Saturday in Nashville to benefit the Harvest Hands Community Development Corporation and helped to raise over $30,000 for the nonprofit organization.
Jo Dee performed two concerts alongside youth and children's choirs at the Brentwood United Methodist Church in Nashville with 3000 fans in the audience along with 1200 who watched the concert live on the computer. I was lucky enough to be given tickets to pass on to one of my correspondents, Dianna, who sent along a short review and a couple pictures.
Sounds like it was a fun time all around....
Here is my review of the Jo Dee Messina Christmas Concert 2009 benefiting Harvest Hands at the Brentwood United Methodist Church.
In the largest Sanctuary I have ever been in we got to hear young members of the church as opening acts. Molly Wells, Dylan Taylor, Alexandria Maddox, Jeff Woods and Christen Cole. They were awesome most did original songs, to hear such great voices from young people. Molly was just 12 years old. I bet we hear that name again.
Rev. Brian Hicks came out and told us about Harvest Hands, they moved into a neighborhood in South Nashville, TN and started making a difference. They explained how the church bought a crack house to get it out of the neighborhood. http://harvesthandscdc.com/
Jo Dee came out wearing a black sweater dress and leggings. She sang all the songs off her Christmas Album “A Joyful Noise”.
Let it Snow
Silverbells
The Christmas Song
I’ll Be Home for Christmas
Winter Wonderland
Sleigh Ride
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
What Child is This
Oh Holy Night
A Joyful Noise
Keep the Faith
She sang at various times with different choirs from the church. It was wonderful that young people were given that experience. I really loved Keep the Faith she said she had wrote it.

I'm more than a little confused by the new artwork for Gary's upcoming CD "Get Off On The Pain." Are those hieroglyphs? Doodles? Psychedelic flashbacks? Really, iinquiring minds want to know.
The deep-in-thought, staring off into the ocean, I'm-too-sexy-for-my-jeans look, now that I understand and appreciate.

Taylor Swift and Shania Twain both showed up to last night's launch of VEVO (a premium music video channel) at Skylight Studio in New York City. I've seen lots of pictures of Taylor and lots of pictures of Shania, but none of Shania and Taylor together. I'm sure there's got to be at least one floating around out there somewhere. I'll definitely post it if I find it.
