Kenny Chesney may not be doing a big tour in 2010, but that doesn't mean you have to lose out on your Chesney fix.
As I told you back in July or so, Kenny Chesney had been taping various concerts to use the footage in some sort of 3-D show. Well I think most people figured we'd just get a DVD with some funky glasses that we could watch in the comfort of our own home. Well good news, you wont have to wear those funky glasses all alone because Kenny's heading to the big screen.
USA Today is reporting that Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3-D, which was taped by more than 20 cameras in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Seattle, San Francisco and Foxborough, Mass., will hit at least 750 screens in April of 2010.
"I've been trying for years to have the audience closer to me and to have me be closer to them," Chesney says. "With this production, they can't get any closer."
The film will also feature Kenny off the stage where he took cameras along with him on various adventures, including before his June concert in Pittsburgh when he took cameras with him to a houseboat on the Ohio River. "We did a 35-minute show with all the tailgaters, right on the water. Unless you're down there, nobody gets to see that."
