Okay, I didn't contribute to the dowfall of Tim McGraw himself, but his movie The Blind Side. See, I was one of those crazies who went and seen New Moon this weekend rather than The Blind Side. That normally wouldn't have been a bad thing, but considering that Tim's movie missed being #1 at the box office this weekend by a mere $2.4 million, I feel a little bit bad for not being a wee bit more loyal to Tim.
Sorry Tim, I blame my kids. They really, really wanted to see New Moon. It honestly had nothing to do with Tayor Lautner's abs, I swear.
Anyway, the Thanksgiving weekend was great for Hollywood this weekend with New Moon pulling in a reported $42.5 million while Tim's football flick pulled in an amazing $40.1 million. Considering this is the second week The Blind Side has been in theaters I'd say it's getting some great word-of-mouth advertising.
I promise I will very soon be a good country music fan and contribute to Tim's box office bucks.
Music Video for Billy Ray Cyrus' new Song We'll Get By Somehow (We Always Do). From his new movie Christmas in Canaan Premiers December 12th at 8:00 P.M Eastern Time on The Hallmark Channel
Sorry once again for being missing in action. I ended up working all day Thanksgiving rather than working on the site like I planned. Then Friday the famdamly and I ended up going and watching New Moon(highly recommended by the way if you're a fan of the series), then went to Cabellas to fight the Black Friday crowds so we could pick up some bullets and a wallet for the hubby. Then we went to out and ate. We went to Golden Corral, a big, huge buffet, to stuff our faces. So much more fun than having to cook and do dishes. Funny thing was my son stuffed himself on pizza. No fried chicken, no steak, no turkey, no ham, no yummy mashed potatoes and mac and cheese, just pizza and a plate full of chocolate cake, chocolate ice cream, fudge, gummy bears, chocolate chips, and whatever else he could find at the desert section of the buffet. Oh the life of a picky eater. But we did enjoy our day-late Thanksgiving dinner.
Yesterday I ended up working and today, my birthday, I ended up cleaning house. Like the whole thing. But don't feel bad for me. Since it was my birthday I was easily able to guilt the hubby and kids into helping me out. Usually I have to fight and yell and cry and threaten to take away Christmas to get anyone to help me clean toilets or vacuum. Well that or just threaten to take away allowances. Anyway, so my house got nice and clean with little effort on my own part. Birthdays are great. Now I'm about to get ready to go and see Sara Evans. I ended up winning an extra pair of tickets via Sara Evans' Twitter so my mom, sister, daughter and I are all headed out to kick off the holiday season with Ms. Evans. I'm so excited!
I just wanted to stop by before I get busy getting ready to say thank you to everyone who was nice enough to send birthday wishes. You guys rock! I will most definitely be back tomorrow. See you then.
Oh Jason Aldean, what has happened to you? Oh don't worry guys and gals, this picture's an old one from 2006 and that's a pretty pink tool kit and not a pretty pink purse which does in fact make this a more masculine picture.

Julianne Hough isn't finished shooting her new movie Burlesque with Christina Aguilera and Cher yet, but we already have our first peek at the movie poster. Now we just need to see some pictures of Julianne as a stripper with a heart of gold. Not sure if that's her role description but I'm pretty sure it's close.
Fox 6 got the exclusive look inside the the recording studio with Danny Gokey, and thanks to the power of the internet, Fox 6's exclusive becomes my exclusive too.
I sure do love the internet. Check out the video of Danny chatting about this new country album and how happy he is to be done with the world of American Idol. As a bonus you get to hear some clips of what Danny's working on.
Rascal Flatts have been pretty hush hush about their tour stops for the upcoming second leg of their Unstoppable Tour, but lucky us we have a few dates to hold us over.
Taylor takes a bow or hits the floor or has a dramatic song finale or something equally thrilling....unless of course you're seeing it from this angle, then it just sort of looks silly.
Taylorperforms at the M.E.N. Arena in Manchester, UK last night. More here.
And speaking of Taylor, she's explained why she still considers herself a country artist...
"I think a country song is when you are singing about being proud of your life," she told CNN. "I sing about love and boys, and that's my life. So that's what fascinates me - feelings. And so I think if you're singing and writing songs about the way that you live your life, that's a country song."
