Julianne Hough isn't finished shooting her new movie Burlesque with Christina Aguilera and Cher yet, but we already have our first peek at the movie poster. Now we just need to see some pictures of Julianne as a stripper with a heart of gold. Not sure if that's her role description but I'm pretty sure it's close.
Fox 6 got the exclusive look inside the the recording studio with Danny Gokey, and thanks to the power of the internet, Fox 6's exclusive becomes my exclusive too.
I sure do love the internet. Check out the video of Danny chatting about this new country album and how happy he is to be done with the world of American Idol. As a bonus you get to hear some clips of what Danny's working on.
Rascal Flatts have been pretty hush hush about their tour stops for the upcoming second leg of their Unstoppable Tour, but lucky us we have a few dates to hold us over.
Taylor takes a bow or hits the floor or has a dramatic song finale or something equally thrilling....unless of course you're seeing it from this angle, then it just sort of looks silly.
Taylorperforms at the M.E.N. Arena in Manchester, UK last night. More here.
And speaking of Taylor, she's explained why she still considers herself a country artist...
"I think a country song is when you are singing about being proud of your life," she told CNN. "I sing about love and boys, and that's my life. So that's what fascinates me - feelings. And so I think if you're singing and writing songs about the way that you live your life, that's a country song."
You know, you can be extremely wealthy, give all the best gifts, take the best vacations, have the best home on the block and it will still be the little things that kids will remember. The time you got to eat lunch all alone with your mom in a restaurant with cloth napkins, the time your dad came to read a story to your class, the day your sister helped you apply makeup for the first time, the time your grandfather didn't yell at you for interrupting the game just before his favorite team was about to score the winning points in overtime. Okay, maybe that last one was just before Tivo and DVRs. But my point is it's the little things that count the most to kids. Just read this little quote from Jason Michael Carroll about his best memories of Thanksgivings past and you'll see what I mean....
“I think one of my favorite memories of Thanksgiving was probably going hunting with my dad. You know, I was a kid and probably six, seven years old. My dad and I, you know, every Thanksgiving, I would look forward to there was a football game to watch, but early in the morning, my dad getting me up, getting me dressed, letting me go get in the pick-up truck with him, and we’d drive out to the hunting club, and he’d go hunting. And we’d be out there all day. We’d have ham sandwiches for lunch that he got from the little community store, and I remember getting back home to the smell of turkey in the house. We lived in a trailer in Louisburg, North Carolina, and you know, if my dad got a deer, he’d be cleanin’ the deer in the yard, or whatever. And then we’d sit down and have dinner and watch football, or you know, that kind of stuff. And I remember those days. Those were some of my favorite, you know, times, goin’ huntin’ and stuff like that, and it’s definitely a good memory for me.”
Now this is creative use of website skills. There's a new website called GoogleGoogleGoogleGoogle.com which gives you the ability to Google four different subjects on the same screen at once.
OMG! Can't believe someone didn't think of this before. Now I can simultaneously search for Jamey Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Gary Allan, and chocolate all at the same time without having to have a bunch of pesky windows or tabs open at the same time. My blogging life will be so much easier now.
Sad, sad news. I had already told you a few days ago that Sugarland was going to be on Oprah this Monday, November 30th, but I had hoped that they were going to be there as part of Oprah's annual Favorite Things show.
Well sad news. Yes, Sugarland is going to be on the show, but sadly it's not Oprah's Favorite Things show. In fact she's reportedly not having a Favorite Things Show this year at all.
Maybe with the economy in the tank companies aren't as willing to hand out expensive free stuff. Even to Oprah.
But at least we'll still have Sugarland to watch on Monday.
From the press release...
Sugarland will appear on Oprah Monday, November 30 to promote their holiday album Gold And Green. The duo will perform a Christmas classic during the show with Oscar winning actress, Jennifer Hudson. This will mark Sugarland’s second appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show this year.
