Yesterday I brought you guys the story of little Noah who is in the final stages of cancer and his only wish was to get a few Christmas Cards.  Well his family is celebrating Christmas this week...just in case....and they've been receiving lots and lots of cards after a major outpouring from people touched by the story.  Check out a video here from a Detroit news station.  It's sad but sweet and inspirational all at the same time.

The guys of Lady Antebellum help out an American Idol

As many of you know Season 8 American Idol contestant, Danny Gokey, has decided to give country music a whirl.  I've expressed my doubts about the whole situation, but apparently there are loads of Gokey fans here and I've decided to bite my tongue until I hear the finished product.

Well tomorrow's the day for us to get our very first taste of what Danny Gokey has to offer as a country music artist....and he's getting help from the guys of Lady Antebellum.

Danny's debut country tune, “It’s Only,” will make get it's first air play tomorrow, November 6, at 7:15 CT on FM106.1, in Milwaukee, WI.  And thanks to the power of the internet, you don't even have to live anywhere near Milwaukee to hear it.

Just follow the link in the Tweet above to listen live tomorrow morning.  And as an added bonus, the station's Facebook page gave us a little more info about Danny's tune...“The song was written by Dave and Charles from Lady Antebellum and produced by Mark Bright, the guy behind Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatts."

So there you go, Danny's getting a little help from some big names.  Now I guess we'll see if it helps him out.

The Taylor Swift - John Mayer song

Back in May Taylor Swift and John Mayer had a blooming Twitter friendship going on.  Then not too long afterwards John showed up at Taylor's L.A. concert where the two performed a couple of songs together.  Well we all know how much Taylor loves to collaborate with anyone and everyone so the next logical step in the new friendship was a new song.  So here you go, the brand new John Mayer-Taylor swift collaboration, Half Of My Heart. 

You have to wait until almost the end to really hear Taylor sing, but be patient, she's there.

Trisha unveils her new cookbook

Trisha Yearwood took to her MySpace to give us a sneak peek of her newest cookbook, Home Cooking with Trisha Yearwood.

Guess who's got a new cookbook coming out? Me! It's called Home Cooking with Trisha Yearwood: stories and recipes to share with family and friends. Once again, I wrote it with my mom, Gwen and my sister, Beth. It hits bookstores April 6, 2010.

Here's the cover of the new cookbook! Me and a glass of sweet tea standing outside at my house in Nashville. This book is more of the same basic home cooking that was in the first book. I hope you guys enjoy it!

Trisha even has a guest chef who contributed a few recipes....her husband, Garth Brooks.  She tells People.com...

"He's a really good cook," Yearwood, whose new book, Home Cooking with Trisha Yearwood, hits stands next April 10. "He has a couple recipes in there that he actually made up, like Garth's Breakfast Bowl. It's just eggs, cheese, bacon, sausage, tortellini and hash browns. Sometimes he even makes French fries and throws them in there!"

Don't know about the French fries being thrown in there, but the rest sounds yummy. 

You can preorder Trisha's book on Amazon now, although it wont come out in stores until April of 2010.

You know, it looked so strange to see Jimmy Fallon holding Reba's album.  I've become far too accustomed to CDs I guess.

Oh, and I love this song.  What a great tune.  Reba's definitely still got it.

More CMA performers and presenters

Add another rocker to country's biggest night , with Kid Rock set to join the lineup for the Nov. 11 CMA Awards, the CMA tells PEOPLE.

The five-time Grammy nominee joins such previously announced genre-crossers Dave Matthews and Daughtry. The show is set to air on ABC next Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.

Kid Rock will perform a duet with four-time CMA nominee Jamey Johnson and will also present an award. The rap rocker is no stranger to the CMAs – last year, he performed his country hit "All Summer Long," and in 2003 was nominated along with Sheryl Crow for vocal event of the year for their song "Picture."

Martina McBride will also join the list of show performers, who already include Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney and show co-hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. Newly announced presenters include Kris Kristofferson, Lee Ann Womack and the Judds.
