I love you Trisha Yearwood, but this was perhaps not the best light

Trisha Yearwood is a beautiful woman, but harsh lighting is not her friend. Here she is chatting with Blair Garner and looking very well illuminated.

Love you Trisha. :0)

Wow, Toby is totally talking about me

I'm sitting here on my bed in the dark with the TV on with my laptop sitting on my lap and I just happen to be in my pajamas...a T-shirt and underwear.  I'm telling you this because it makes this quote Toby gave to CNN all the more profound.  I actually sort of snorted when I read it.

CNN: Do you think controversy has been a good thing for your career? Do you think you've courted controversy sometimes?

Toby Keith:I've learned to embrace the booger-eatin' nerds that sit around in their underwear and type blogs. I've embraced that. So I use them to my advantage. They're going to do it whether I'm a good guy or a bad guy.

At least I'm not a booger eater anyway.

Two country giants getting ready to head out on tour

P0004081-280x336 Georgestrait2_e

Wow, now here's a powerhouse duo if I ever heard of one.

It's been announced that George Strait and Reba McEntire will be teaming up to tour in 2010.

“I can’t wait to get back out there and perform some of my new favorites from Twang along with hits the fans already love,” says Strait. “And with my friend Reba, we will make it a really spectacular night.”

Spectacular night may be an understatement if you ask me.  The last concert the two country greats teamed up together for was when they opened the brand new Dallas Cowboys' new stadium in Arlington, Texas earlier this year and that one sold out in about an hour so I have a feeling this is going to be one hot ticket next year.

Check out the upcoming dates below.

Blake and Trace take a page out of one of my favorite movies for their new video

Untitled

Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins give us a funny video for their new song, Hillbilly Bone.

Not sure about you, but I spent the second half of the video waiting for Blake to put the wine bottle on his tongue like Woody Harrelson famously did for "The Cowboy Way."  Unfortunately he refrained from any tongue-bottle exercises.

Did he or didn't he?

Oh those country stars, they're just like us.  Heck, they even soometimes fart.  So did Brad or didn't he?  Take a listen to Brad's interview  with The Frogmen in the Morning and let me know what you think.

Squeaky chair or squeaky something else?  You be the judge.

And make sure you check out the rest of last week's Frogmen in the Morning interview here.  He talks teleporters, Star Trek, who has the final say about Halloween costumes, and a missing line in Welcome to the Future.

  • Martina McBride makes her second appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show in barely a week as she follows her performance this past Monday on Oprah’s State Fair of Texas episode with a return visit on November 3rd.  Last Monday's show actually taped two weeks prior but the amazing part was that Martina got the call on a Friday and by Monday morning was on the Texas stage singing.  This time, the Oprahsegment takes Martina to her home state of Kansas with only a couple days notice.  The theme of the November 3rd show is celebrities’ “first jobs,” and who better to be one of the featured guests than Martina who served up ice cream and burgers at her hometown DQ.  Oprah’s crew took Martina back to revisit the Hutchinson, Kansas, Dairy Queen which is still owned by the same couple who employed Martina after high school.
