So did everyone have a great Halloween? I took my kids out but we never were able to find a good neighborhood to trick or treat. I haven't been at all affected by the economy, my life has just sort of went on just like always and I've been grateful for that.... but tonight it finally happened, the hell of the economic downturn cut right into our Halloween fun. It's really the only explanation for all the porch lights being off and no one handing out candy. We went to several different neighborhoods - including the same one we've went to for the last 6 or 7 years - and there were far more houses that were dark then there were with porch lights on with people handing out candy. Even in the nice little subdivisions that are usually kid friendly, candy houses were few and far between. But I must say that one good thing came out of the lack of sugar houses...my kids will only be on a sugar high for a day or two rather than til way past Christmas. But as sad as the lack of festive Halloween houses was, just like everything that involves my kids, it all turned out fun and the kids said it was the best day ever. They're pretty easy to please usually. That's my two munchkins above. For some reason Jay decided he didn't want to wear the vampire clothes and instead went as a classic preppy vampire.
And to help finish up your Halloween, here's a video of Kellie Pickler ghost hunting. But don't worry, no ghosts were harmed in in hunt.

Just sitting here finishing up my work for the day when I got an email from Chris emailing me this funnier-than-funny video of Taylor getting her ass scared by Ellen.
So. Friggin. Funny!

Today is payday so I've got 100 things to do with running around paying bills, getting some groceries, plus picking stuff up for my hubby who is leaving tomorrow for a week. On top of that it's the last day of my pay period so I'm trying to hurry and get all my work done so I can turn in my pay sheet. Then my son has his Boy Scouts award thingy tonight so my evening is spoken for too. Needless to say - but said anyway - I'm a busy bee today. I will try and be back later this afternoon, but who knows if that will actually happen. Tomorrow being the day my hubby leaves plus all the Halloween activities going on I doubt I will be around except maybe after trick-or-treating since I always have trouble sleeping when hubby's gone - those darn dogs just don't cuddle quite as well.
Anyway, short story long, I will be back, just not sure if it will be today, tomorrow night, or Sunday. But be sure to keep checking back because I've got some darn funny stuff to post.
And if I don't see you before tomorrow...Happy Halloween!

Carrie Underwood is a huge, huge, huge horror movie fan.
Who knew?
Well she chatted yesterday with The Frogmen in the Morning over on KFrog 95.1 who chatted with her about Halloween, including the fact that she's the "Rainman of horror movies." Check out below who Carrie thinks she should dress up as for Halloween. And be sure to check out the rest of the interview here.

I wanna send a big, ol' Gab congrats to Eric Durrance who married his fiance, Jennifer Weeks, October 24th at Eric's Tallahasee farm in a nice private ceremony.
From the press release I received...
Currently writing and recording for his next CD release, Durrance said time off the road afforded him time to take the plunge with Jennifer, a paralegal, and he couldn't be happier. This time last year, Durrance was on tour with Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum, and marriage wasn't on the radar, but my what a difference a year makes, the singer says.
Although the couple didn't announce their planned nuptials in advance, fans might have had an inkling that Durrance had met someone special after he uploaded a new song, "Once In A Lifetome (Jennifer's Song," to his MySpace (www.myspace.com/ericdurrance) recently. Said tune is the same song that Eric sang to Jennifer during their Saturday nuptials, which were performed by the Dove-nominated artist's stepfather.
"All in all, it was a perfect day," Durrance says of Oct. 24, 2009. "I can't wait to see what songs I write now. I've never felt so complete!"
The first wedding for both, Eric and the new Mrs. Durrance will spend their honeymoon in Mexico.PHOTO: Country singer Eric Durrance and bride Jennifer cut their wedding cake Oct. 24, 2009. Photo credit: Alan Dust.
