Ever wondered how in the world concerts with real significance or concerts to honor people choose who will be performing? If you haven't then this just might make you think about it for once.
Billboard.com announced today that this year's Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo will feature Toby Keith.
Yeah, really.
Now don't get me wrong, I like Toby Keith a lot, but choosing him to perform at the Peace Prize Concert seems a sort of odd choice. I mean do peaceful, smart people really love Toby Keith? Does he seem like a peaceful person himself? Was love-everybody Big Kenny not available?
Anyway, congrats to Toby, this seems like a really huge honor. Of course, last year Dierks Bentley was the token country singer so maybe it's not as huge an honor as it seems, I don't know.
Again, not that I don't like Dierks mind you.
This year's show will take place on December 11 and will be hosted by Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith and will also feature Donna Summer and Wyclef Jean.
Congrats Toby - here's hoping your song choices are decidedly less rowdy than usual.
And here's video of Dierks and Marit Larsen performing Beautiful World at last year's concert.

You say that you like Toby Keith, but then question if any peaceful, smart people like him... Just out of curiosity, does that make you a warmongering idiot?? Or just confused?
