Oh ma goodness. It sounds like Taylor Swift is getting as tired of talking about the Kanye West story as we are of hearing about it.
Last week Taylor sat down in a Nashville recording studio to do a bunch of radio interviews. The first interview of the day was with MJ in the Morning on Tampa Bay's 93.3 FM (which is a pop station by the way). The interview didn't start out very well since Taylor was late due of rain and Nashville traffic. While the radio show was waiting for Taylor they chatted with Taylor's "handler" as they called her. The funny thing is they chatted and laughed about how good the whole Kanye thing has been for Taylor publicity wise.
Well Taylor finally showed up and the interview started. Right out of the starting gate the DJ asked about Kanye. Taylor was nice and said (via The Hollywood Gossip), "I'm just honestly trying not to make it into a bigger deal than it already is ... I just would like to move on maybe a little bit."
That's one. DJ didn't take the hint.
Next he asked her if she thought the whole thing was scripted. You could tell Taylor was trying to think of a nice way to tell the guy to move on.
"Well... you know, I um... I didn't know what to think, but I think that we should maybe move on and talk about something else, because, um, I've talked about this in one interview, and that was going to be it."
That was twice. Third time was obviously the charm though. The DJ attempted to ask Taylor if she thought the whole Kanye thing was good for her career. By this time you could tell Taylor was more than slightly annoyed.
"I really would appreciate it if we could talk about something else," Taylor explained. "I've asked you three times, and I'm trying to be nice."
Deciding to push on the DJ attempted to ask if Taylor thought Kanye was a little touched in the head. At that point Taylor got off the phone and her PR lady got back on the phone and tried to explain to the DJ that Taylor really just wanted to have a nice conversation and move on and talk about her album or something else. At that point the DJ hung up on Taylor and the PR lady and decided to take a few minutes to explain how he doesn't get told what he can and can't ask.
Uhmm, childish much? What a jackass.
You can take a listen to the whole interview including the pre-Taylor banter with the PR lady here or you can listen to just the Taylor and DJ edited portion below.
Thoughts everyone? Did the DJ go to far or is Taylor just being too touchy about something everyone is already talking about?
Oh, and a side note, it's been uncovered that Taylor and Kanye both share an agent whose name is David Wirtschafter. Coinkydink? Who knows, just thought I'd mention it.

I am so sick of the same topic,Please,Please move on.

I'm pretty darn sure that Taylor had nothing to do with the Kanye West crap, you could just see the stunned look on her face and know, but I honestly don't put it past Kanye West and the agent to work something out for the publicity. I just mentioned the fact that they shared an agent because the word is out there and it's something people are talking about.

Taylor has a good attitude about the whole situation handled it very well.

I want to applaud both Taylor and the DJ. What incredible poise and character Taylor showed in holding her ground. She is obvious sincere and authentic. This is truely rare in any celeb but in such a young lady, it is inspirational. I also like the DJ sticking to his guns. So many interviews are just staged and fluff pieces that mean nothing. The DJ sacrificed a covetted interview to try and get the story he wanted. In the end he got nothing but he stuck by his principles. I want this DJ to interview LeAnn Rimes about her mess and the lies she's told without her PR people present. Rimes would be crying about the unfair press and wanting to talk about her skin disease.

Holy cow, that was not handled well by Taylor, the DJ, or her PR person...I think everyone is at fault in the situation. Wow...that was the worst interview I've ever heard. I understand her wanting ot "move on" but you can't move on without confronting the situation. I can understand how she feels like she's already made her comment and wants to avoid covering the issue any furthur, but that's just not how it works. She's gonna have to keep talking about it, or she's just gonna dig herself into a deeper PR disaster hole! The DJ WAS a jerk, but she/her agent did NOT handle it well either.

Omg, this was the sweetest thing you have posted in ages Shannon. It was truly the good scoop. Taylor needs to be welcomed to the real world of how to handle the media. She could take a few lessons from Carrie who always finds the perfect way to reply. You think Carrie wanted to be asked about that tool Romo for two+ yrs? She faced the media with poise and pushed on. Taylor grow up and be mature. Everything won't always go your way.

I don't think it was planned. I can see what Tayor would get out of all the publicity, but Kanye gets a wheelbarrow full of hate out of it so why would he agree??? I think the DJ shouldve let it drop, but Taylor couldve said, I accepted his apology and all is well and started a convo about her album. Maybe the DJ mightve taken the hint. He was persistent, but you gotta keep those DJs on your good side if you want a lot of radio play.

I think it's rude for him to continue to harp on the topic when she's nicely explained that she doesn't want to discuss it. If DJs want to be given the opportunity to speak with the singers, then they need to at least have some basic level of respect for the person they are interviewing.
I seriously doubt that Taylor knew anything about what was going on. I've seen the clip of the Kanye West incident many times and she just seemed so startled.
