Garth closing in on his Vegas deal?

Here's the rumor that just wont die.  Garth in Vegas.  Well now it appears that the rumor may be coming closer to being a reality...with dates.

He's "got friends in low places" -- and he could soon be performing for them in Las Vegas! Sources tell "Extra" that country legend Garth Brooks is working out a deal to perform at the Encore Hotel and Casino.

Brooks would be performing in the Encore Theater for 16 weeks beginning this October, where Danny Gans performed his Las Vegas show.

So how many people are hopping the first plane they can find in October?
