Jack Ingram visited the carnival and rode the rides. Apparently the bear ride doesn't have a weight limit because there were a lot of people packed into that thing.

Okay, now this is a way to make me giggle in the morning. Lisa and Ray over at US99.5 interviewed Randy Houser and he talked about dress codes and attractive concert goers...as well as the not so attractive ones. Funny stuff.

Ahhh, Kenny Chesney and Jessica Simpson, a match made in blogger heaven and much more fun than a Kenny Chesney/Renée Zellweger marriage. Yes, I'm 100% aware that the source was Star Magazine and far more likely to be untrue than true, but still, it was fun while it lasted.
Well instead of letting us have fun for a few days, Kenny ran to People Magazine to set the record straight.
Party pooper.
Story is the picture in Star Magazine is real and was taken on July 4th at a party at Chesney's friend's (Sean Payton, coach of the New Orleans Saints) house and everything was innocent and just a guy and a girl talking.
"Tony's a friend, and I wouldn't flirt with a buddy's girlfriend," Chesney tells PEOPLE. "More importantly, Jessica was just being sweet and there was nothing else to it. It's not funny. There were no problems. Everybody got along great. After the party, everybody went their own way and nobody thought anything more about it. Period. End of story."
"If a girl and her boyfriend can't go to someone's house for a Fourth of July party and talk to the other guests without it turning into a big nightmare ... , then I feel really sorry for Jessica and Tony, who're both really nice people," Chesney says. "I wonder if I wasn't famous if anyone would even care. But the fact of the matter is I talked to a bunch of guests, hung out, had a good time."
I completely agree that a celebrity should be able to hang out with someone of the opposite sex without it being blown up into "they're dating" or a "hot hookup," but come on, a blogger can always hope for a juicy dating story.

Well after the last few projects Gretchen Wilson attempted faded into the mist with little notice, she had that whole pesky Black Crowes lawsuit last year, and she started to have to cancel concerts due to bad ticket sales, it's no surprise that she and her record label have parted ways. Well don't cry too many tears for Gretchen because the girl's got a plan....she's going into business for herself.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Ms. Wilson is happily starting her very own record label (aptly named Redneck Records) and she hopes to have a new record release this fall.
And just in time for the record label formation news, I got this statement from Gretchen in my email....
Hey everybody, if you haven’t already read or heard about it, I am leaving my record company after five years. I wanted you to hear directly from me that this is a good thing – a very positive thing which I am very excited about. I will miss the people who I have grown to know and love at Sony Music, and I can’t do this without thanking everyone who helped me get out from behind the bar to the national stage. I never could have dreamed my music would literally take me around the world (several times!) but it has. And who would’ve thought I would be sitting next to a President having dinner? But the most important thing about my career over the last five years has been playing my music for you, and I have big plans to continue that for many years to come!
In the coming weeks, I’ll be announcing some pretty exciting plans to get some new music out for you to hear. Country radio has been great to me over the years, and I’m anxious for them to listen to the new music and start playing it for you. There are some other things with television and retail that I can’t wait to talk about (but I can’t yet!)
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for your support over the last five years. Listening to what my music means to you, and seeing your smiling faces at concerts is what inspires me to keep doing this every day. Please stay tuned for new developments!
Now let's all crack open a beer and wish Gretchen all the best in her new venture.

Oh sad day. Here I thought 9 to 5: The Musical was a huge hit when in fact it was a flop. Seems even having Dolly Parton's magical touch couldn't save the show.
The musical, which opened on Broadway back in April, is set to sing it's last Working 9 to 5 around Labor Day.
No word on what caused the closure, although the NY Post thinks it may have something to do with it's $14 million price tag, storyline that followed the movie too closely, and music that lacked zest.
Heck, even Dolly didn't seem to make things better.
Her appearance was awkward and, frankly, smacked of a halfhearted attempt to sell some tickets. You gave her points for doing her bit, but you got the feeling she knew the jig was up.
Ahh, sad day indeed. Well maybe they'll start a traveling 9 to 5: The Musical and the rest of us will be able to see it at our local theaters. Hey, it worked for Cats.

Wednesdays have always been Webisode Wednesdays with Lady A (heck, they've got the song and all), but it looks like Gloriana might be wanting a little bit of that Wednesday action because they released their Webisode today too. Check 'em out.

Holy crap you guys, it's turned into Jessica Simpson dating day. So odd.
Billy Currington recently chatted with Seattle's KKWF Fitz In The Morning and the conversation turned to dating (among other things). Billy was informed that Jessica and Tony Romo had broken up and he agreed he could date Jessica - or at least have a one night stand.
Nice. Check out the audio below.
