Well I have been down and out all weekend with this stupid cold that just wont go away. Saturday I drug my happy Dayquil-doped-up ass to the Apple Blossom Festival parade on Saturday because my son was in it with his Boy Scout troop. That was great. He's always so handsome and cute in his uniform.
Today I still felt rotten (thank you husband for giving me this crud, someday I'll pay you back!!!) so here I am half laying, half sitting, and totally miserable and feeling sorry for myself when I get a phone call. Husband and the kids were out visiting husband's dad so I was forced to haul myself off the couch to go and retrieve the phone. I didn't recognize the number so I listened to the message. In my completely stuffed up and muffled hearing I missed the first part of the message but I definitely caught the second half...
"One Taylor Swift ticket with meet&greet pass and it has your name on it!"
Nuh uh. So I listened again. Sure enough it was my new bestest friend in the whole wide world, Don Jarrett from Wow 104.3 and he had one lone ticket for me. Ahhhhhh!!!
I called him up, got all the info, popped a couple cold capsules, fixed my hair as best as could be done on short notice, and hauled my happy ass down to the Idaho Center in Nampa. Woot woot. Met all the radio gals and gents hanging out at the Wow tent and since I was all by my lonesome just sort of grafted myself into their group and followed them around. I was probably a pest but that's okay, I really didn't care. Ha ha. So tomorrow I will have tons of pictures up with a full account of my adventures - but until then, here's the picture from the meet&greet. I honestly don't think I was leaning that hard into Taylor, although it looks like if she had moved suddenly I would have fallen over. Sorry, Taylor, to have used you as a leaning post.
Okay, now I'm off to bed. Wish me luck on actually getting any sleep.
