Oh funny. Miranda did an interview with US 99.5 and they told a story about Miranda's dad going to a show and having to remove his gun before being able to enter.
Miranda's response to the story was "like father, like daughter."

Well the Footloose remake is still a-go with Chace Crawford (Carrie's ex) in the lead role made famous by Kevin Bacon. So far they haven't picked a lead actress yet and a spokesperson for Paramount confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that Julianne is still in the running. From EW...
A Paramount spokesperson confirmed to EW that Dancing With the Stars’ Julianne Hough will screen-test this week. Hough's recent success as a country music star could give her an advantage. Says Meron, "It’s a much more singing-intensive movie for the female lead."

Luke Bryan takes us behind the scenes for the making of the video for Do I.
Am I the only one who thought it sounded like they sped the track up really fast? It was almost chipmunk mode. :0)

Music City TV had the following statement that John Rich's attorney released regarding his arrest and everything else that was going on. Oh, and John Rich is out on bail so he wasn't in police custody for too terrible long.
“This entire ridiculous situation is nothing more than an effort by singer, [and former Nashville Star contestant] Jared Ashley [pictured here], and music row attorney Chris Sevier, to try to obtain money from me. Mr. Sevier and Mr. Ashley have falsely accused me of misdemeanor crimes. I trust that the truth will come out through the process of our American justice system and that I will be completely exonerated at the end of the day.
“It’s unfortunately common in my line of work that there are a very small number of people who want to take advantage of another person’s success and try to get something for nothing. I truly did make every effort to work this out in connection with the defamation lawsuit I filed against Mr. Ashley.
“Yesterday, I decided that a civil settlement would be impossible due to the fact that Mr. Ashley and his attorney demanded that I pay Jared Ashley 2.9 million dollars, even though he is the one who has defamed me. He has now chosen to bring these false charges against me.
“Ultimately, and out of principle, I will not allow myself to be coerced into paying 2.9 million dollars to Mr. Ashley and his attorney Chris Sevier in exchange for dropping these frivolous misdemeanor charges. I intend to defend myself through the legal process to the fullest extent of the law.”
So there you go, just like everything else, it's all about the bottom dollar (allegedly of course).
You can check out all the arrest affidavits here. And here's John's mugshot.

I love getting these. Reader Elizabeth got to go to the Traler Park Revival Show last night at the Ryman and sent an awesome review, pictures, and videos for us to check out. Thank you Elizabeth!
Last night Jamey Johnson, Randy Hauser and Jerrod Niemann put on a spectacular show at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The "Traler Park Revival Show" sold tickets for only $20 a pop and raised money for members of the country-music industry who are suffering from hard times.
Jerrod opened the show. He said he was going to release a song in a month or two and his album will be out soon. Check out his myspace... http://www.myspace.com/jerrodniemann. My personal favorite song he sang last night was "Old School New Again"
Randy came out to sing a couple of songs followed by "Anything Goes" then "Boots On." Randy sang a song called "Back to God" which was truly amazing and written beautifully. I have attached a video of most of that performance. I will be very surprised if this is not released as a single.
To be completely honest, I didn't know what to expect from Jamey Johnson. I love his music; however, I have never viewed him as a great entertainer-more just a guy who loves to write good music. However, he blew all my expectations out the window. Jamey is exceptionally talented. He started out "High Cost of Living" which I recorded partially until I was told videos weren't allowed. Attached.
Then he sang, "Mowin' Down the Roses." "Before he sang "The Last Cowboy" he brought out Teddy Gentry from Alabama and Rob Hatch. After Jamey said "Whoever thought we would be playing at the Ryman?!" Then he started talking about this woman who "taught him as much as anyone else as far as how to deliver a great country song and a great country album." He mentioned the song "The Fool" and out comes LeeAnn Womack. Together they sang, "Help Me make it Through the Night." Video
Attached.
Then he sang "Women" followed by "In Color" which the entire sold out Ryman crowd was singing along to every word and he got a standing ovation! Jamey gave a shout out to Vern Gosslin and sang one of his songs. He sang another song about "live what I write, write what I live...mr. executive if you don't like it you can write your own songs." It was great! Jamey started talking about how he cut a song with Mel Tillis down in Key West at the Songwriters thing a couple weeks ago. He said we've been trying to get Mel to come hang out with us, so Mel came on stage and sang a song with him. Bill Anderson (amazing songwriter) was in the 5th row watching and Jamey invited him up on stage. They wrote "Give It Away" together so they sang that one. He also had Buddy Cannon on stage and said those two men taught him to write a song. He added a couple lyrics to the end of "Give It Away"..."I got a couple icon friends, diamond rings and a couple ACM's! I see Hank Williams even more these days and they say George Strait even knows our names."
Jamey said the Traler Park guys came together because they had the same taste in music and they didn't know who was gonna be successful and if one of them was gonna die and the other died in the back of a pickup truck it didn't matter what happened to which one of them. All the Traler Park guys came back out...Randy, Jarod and some others and they sang a song about cowboys not being easy to love. Video attached.
Then he said he was going to close his shows like Willie Nelson closes his shows. Everyone came back out...LeeAnn, Randy, Jarod and all the other special guests. Overall Jamey played a great 2 hour set!!
I am attaching pictures now. I am going to send your videos separately because they are big. The sound on the videos isn't amazing, and the pictures arent that great either. I was on the first row of the balcony but I still couldn't get great shots.
Here's Elizabeth's pictures. You can also check out all her videos by visiting here.
