Carrie apologizes to Matthew McConaughey

 

I thought it was funny when Carrie told Matthew McConaughey she wanted to see his boots during her EOTY acceptance speech on Sunday, but apparently Carrie felt a little bad about it because she's apologized for the comment. 

Before giving Carrie her award, Matthew told a little story about how George Strait helped him and his brother get lucky. "We're like, 'Oh yeah. Say, as I a matter of fact, out in the parking lot, in the trunk of our white Corvette, we have the next year's new edition white ostrich quill George Strait signed series that he's gonna wear on tour next year.' And they got pretty excited about that and said, 'Well, can we see? Can we see? Can we see?'" McConaughey told the audience. "And we obliged ... Point of the story is, we got lucky that night. Thank you, George."

Well after Carrie got her award she teasingly said, "I don't know what to say. I got nothin' ... I want to see those boots, Matthew." Everyone in the audience laughed, but Carrie obviously embarrassed herself.  Backstage she told FoxNews how bad she felt. 

"I'm so embarrassed, I totally embarrassed myself. I just blanked," Underwood told Tarts backstage, burying her head in her hands. "You want to say something eloquent in a moment like that and I embarrassed myself. I'm sorry Matthew, I'm sorry to my family. I'm totally embarrassed."

Aww, Carrie, I thought it was cute to see you so flustered and I don't think anyone thinks worse of you for telling a little dirty joke.

I also thought it was funny. Almost the best part of the show, IMO. I love stuff that actually is unscripted. Loved it. I feel bad for her that she felt the need to apologize.

CARRIE HAS NO NEED to be embarrassed, or sorry for that comment. she was just making a funny comment. and everyone knows that she was joking she even said " im just kidding" right after she said it I LOVED her shout out to her HOTT boyfriend Mike

I have to admit I LOVE Carrie's voice, but always thought she was lacking in personality. That comment was the best thing she's ever done (besides sing).

I thought it was sooo funny, especially coming from her cause she's the last person you would expect it from. No need for her to apologize at all, everybody was cracking up! And I bet Matthew didn't mind one bit judging on his reaction. Now Mike on the other hand, LOL.
I loved her shout out to Mike too. So unexpected, I don't think she has ever mentioned/thanked a boyfriend @ an awards show. Must be serious!
