But listening to Beyonce and Lil Wayne may very well make you stoopid. Or at least show where your SATs may be without having to even take the test.
A CalTech grad student named Virgil Griffith (via The Examiner) compared SAT scores to what type of music students listen to and found that fans of certain genres and groups/singers scored higher or lower than others. Students who preferred Beethoven scored an average of 1371 but students that liked Lil Wayne averaged at 889.
Classical music overall scored the highest while country sort of fell in the middle of the lot. Funny thing is, looking at the chart here, fans of Pat Green scored higher than those of Brad Paisley and Garth Brooks.
Crap, I'm a fan of Taylor Swift, where the heck does that leave me?
