I think she listened to one too many Bjork records in the green room before hitting the stage.

'White Horse' isn't a bash on Joe... she wrote Forever and Always about him. White horse is her next single. I will agree this performance was... not great... that's for sure. She is a great songwriter, but needs work on most of her live stuff

To me, Taylor Swift is the pop-country version of Avril Lavigne. They both started young, they both appeal to younger girls and, if you listen close, they have many of the same inflections in their delivery.
I do believe that Taylor is a very nice girl and may actually be a more talented songwriter and (especially) marketer than she is a singer at this point in her career.

Why will she not get some lessons? I completely understand that not everyone is a great vocalist, but really. you can be taught to stay on key. I'm actually really sick of all the "good" voices out there. there are just too many working too hard at belting out tunes. I'd like to hear just a good song without the blow-you-away vocals yelling at me. but on key would be helpful.
And, yeah its time to grew up a little. if you want to wear grown up outfits like that, you need to have the behavior to do it right. leave Joe alone and stop it with the drama, and tell your "people" that too! Joe has definitely won the maturity award! she can do better, and I'm not talking about in her choice of boyfriend. she'll get a nice guy when she stops acting like a HS freshman! high school is over!

Let's face it. The only reason Taylor was singing the Brenda Lee song is because Carrie was touring.
If you need someone to sing the Tammy, Patsy, Brenda you get someone that has a voice. It only made it worse that Taylor went into that boy basher song with Joe Jonas in the audience. Very poor move and showed her age. I love Taylors CD but leave the live alone.

To me personally I think people love her for her and for being Taylor and forgive her for not being the best singer out there. You just can't help but like the girl, she seems like just about the sweetest girl out there. When she sang her own song she sounded so much stronger then when she was singing the first tune, maybe she really was just nervous. I've seen her on video singing in concert and she tends to look so much more relaxed when in her own element.

She seems like a genuinely nice girl. I don't know how she can keep getting up there and singing like that. Shes bound to know the audience is not into it and read alllllllllll the blogs about her out of tune singing. She really needs to just write more great songs and let others sing them.

Lets face it the girl sucks

Wow I am always hard on her at our publication and sometimes feel bad about it but come on. At least be able to sing halfway in tune and not make your whole career based off marketing. Scott Borchetta should be the one being praised not Taylor.

Oh Andre, it's not really that unique. A lot of people sing off key.

Soooo sorry.

She has no reason to be sorry, it was a great performance. Taylor has a unique sound, and we all know nobody's ever made it big by not sounding orginal.

She should be. (sorry, that is)
