No, I'm not saying he was burning up with his playing, he literally took some rum and a match and set his guitar on fire in Vegas.
I like reading the celeb blogs and one of the funnier ones I read is Cowboy Troy's. He has some crazy antics now! Check out his blog about John lighting a fire and then how CT put it out.
Whaddup Kinfolk!?
Last night's show here in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Hilton was great fun! It was a rowdy show for a rowdy crowd. Not only did JR set his guitar on fire with a bottle of rum and a book of matches. But a spot on stage was flaming up due to excess rum. The hilarious part is when I went over to stomp out the flaming rum and slipped and wound up putting out the the large flame with my large hindquarter. Sebastian Bach and I laughed pretty hard about it. Just glad I didn't fall on 2 Foot Fred! I hope someone caught it on video and put it on youtube, because it was funny!
After my brief stint as a firefighter, I got cleaned up and took my "Savor the Jager" party to the hottest club in Vegas, LAX! We got a chance to hang out in the VIP area with champion rodeo cowboy Pepper Fipps (National Finals Rodeo is in town as well as Chris Denham from Coaltrain, and Mr. Belding from "Saved by the Bell" was also in the house). Photos will be up later today. Day 2 is tonight. Hang on tight!
Troy
One interesting little tidbit on CT's website is the fact that, although as far as I know Big&Rich haven't announced any tour dates (or maybe they have and I haven't seen them yet) he has some dates on his tour schedule. Check them out here.

i hear he is going to be in Florida at the Cracker House on april 10th with Cowboy Troy

this concert was awesome. Cowboy Troy, Pepper Fipps, John Rich, they really seem to enjoy the people and are very down to earth. We need more like them.

I had such a great time at this concert especially at the meet and greet! I got to meet some of my favorite celebs like Pepper Fipps, Cowboy Troy, Sebastian Bach and John Rich! Honestly some of the nicest most down to earth people I’ve ever met!

What do you mean John Rich only "loves" certain types of people? Which types? Did he mention his wife at the shows?

well if you knew a darn thing about john rich, you would know that he NEVER has love everybody on the back of his guitar. The one who has that is big kenny. John sure is making more money than most of us so I guess he can do what he wants with guitars and love whoever he wants too. Furthermore, he gave a guitar to a fan at the second Vegas show.

I borrow from John Hiatt: "it breaks my heart to see those stars smashing a perfectly good guitar, I don't know who they think they are."
Agree with CF. There's a talented kid out there somewhere who can't afford a guitar. John Rich - shame on you!

I really do hate when artists/entertainers destroy guitars. What a waste! Even if it's a cheap one, it's still a guitar that someone could use. Might be seen as a "cool" way to entertain, like a rock-star wannabe, but I guess it represents Rich's real thoughts on the whole "Love everybody" phrase he puts on the back of those guitars (as we have seen this year, he only "loves" certain type of people lol).
