Is this Blake Shelton's big news?
Well so much for those Blake's-marrying-Miranda rumors. It's been going around that Blake Shelton had big news coming up on USA's Coming Attractions tomorrow, October 3. Well just a couple of hours ago USA printed this in their Coming Attractions section:
Country radio's early enthusiasm for Blake Shelton's new single, She Wouldn't Be Gone, has prompted Warner Bros. Records to rush-release the singer's next album.
Originally planned for January, Startin' Fires will now come out Nov. 18. The title of Shelton's fifth album comes from a track called Good at Startin' Fires.
Shelton says he expects fans to assume that the song is about girlfriend Miranda Lambert, a singer who has often used flames in video and TV performances. "If there was ever a song written that somebody could go, 'That's his song for Miranda,' that's definitely what that is," says Shelton, who begins a tour with Lambert tonight in Richmond, Va.
The album also contains a duet with Lambert called Bare Skin Rug.
"We wanted to write a song that was kind of set back in the old days, and how lucky you were, probably, if you were a hillbilly to even find somebody of the opposite sex, much less somebody you weren't kin to," Shelton says. "So we wrote a beautiful love song about that."
So is that it? An early CD release? I mean that's great news but I was hoping for baby or wedding news. I guess I'll check out the site tomorrow to see if there was other BIG news.
Talk about anticlimactic!
