I kept seeing reports that Kenny Chesney and Corona had teamed up, but I was like "duh" so I didn't bother to read the articles. Well duh to me, it's actually new news and not just Corona sponsoring Kenny's tour this year.
Seems Kenny has actually signed a seven-year deal...yep, seven as in 7 as in VII as in siete years. That's one long-ass promotional contract that should keep Kenny in flip flops and beach-front property for a long time to come.
Kenny said about working with Corona: "If you want to capture my audience, the thing that stands out is their ability to have more fun in a single day than most people have in a month," he said. "Corona is part of those relaxed, hanging-out-with-your-buddies kinds of days." The only thing missing from that statement is a "Dude" at the end.
Kenny has a ways to go to be Corona's longest running sponsored musician, they had a 25-year contract with Jimmy Buffett which recently ended.
Of course, after reading the whole article, they don't actually tell me what I REALLY want to know which is how much is the contract worth. I mean seriously, isn't that what we all want to know? Disclosure people! {source}
