Money from the auction will go to MusiCares and the GRAMMY Foundation. The GRAMMY Foundation works with industries, cultural communities and the public to keep awareness of how important music and arts education is to the forefront. MusiCares works to help those in need in the music industry. They provide medical assistance as well as financial help when needed.
Items in the auction include an autographed acoustic guitar from Dwight Yoakam and a signed copy of George Strait’s album For The Last Time: Live From The Astrodome. Brooks & Dunn gave a photo and a signed hat that belonged to Kix Brooks. Other things included in the auction are a Taylor Swift CD/DVD, Joe Don Rooney’s jeans, a Miley Cyrus guitar and a Terri Clark t-shirt.
